"The property was exactly as described. The owners have a marina as well as the B&B and you're staying right on the waterfront. Food was culinary treat and location was central to all I needed to do in the area. Patti was fun and helpful and I felt right at home while visiting my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson in NJ. Jane and Ellie made the stay fun - (the dogs)."

"We stayed overnight. I did like the hotel and the rooms. They were very clean and quiet. Polite staff. I did not like the fact that I was charged $74 for my small 12lb dog. I also did not like the fact that the breakfast was not complimentary. Buffet style breakfast, which was limited with options. Not worth the cost."

"Newly renovated by new owners and really very nicely done. The beds are super comfortable and even nice pillows! It was the last weekend before closing for the season. We were disappointed the pool was closed. Rooms are clean and modern. No phone in room so if you need something you have to go to office. "I had a great off-season stay, and the staff were amazing. However, the motel was under construction so weekdays were noisy and inhibited the use of balconies and common areas. I wish Expedia had disclosed this as I might have gone elsewhere to relax. Once the construction is done, it's going to be fabulous!"

"This place is a great economical option if you want to visit historic Smithville, the wildlife refuge or take a 20 minute drive to AC. Walking distance to Smithville. They did not have an ice machine or hand towels but otherwise clean , friendly, and updated. Would stay again"
