It's a relatively small family-run hotel in a gorgeous village on the edge of a big lake. Great location to explore this part of Sweden - we wanted to see artist Carl Larsson's house in Sundborn, the Anders Zorn museum in Mora and also the village of Nusnas where they make the painted horses.These were all quite short...

"Wi-fi didn't work. Shower was a dribble of water. Outside seating area poorly maintained with weeds growing between paving stones. Breakfast was very ordinary. The most expensive of the 4 hotels I stayed at in Sweden but by far the worst, with a general sense of lack of care or effort in most areas."

"I stayed for a week as I was visiting a relative. Breakfast and dinner are available which is perfect. I really hate hunting for food. The staff -reception and restaurant - were friendly and incredibly helpful. The hotel is affordable. My only worry is they are doing a huge amount of renovations (which I did not hear) which will probably raise the room rate to an amount I cannot afford again. I can’t imagine what they would be doing to improve the hotel. I thought it was perfect and it’s not...
