"This was one of the most anticipated stops along our road trip. We were only able to stay one night due to availability but we would have loved to stay longer. The place was very quiet, peaceful and romantic. The space was mindfully designed and very visually appealing. I can tell the owner out a lot of thought into the interior design. The heated floors + heated towel rack made the place even more cozy. We enjoyed the stars in the jacuzzi but unfortunately didn’t see the northern lights...

"Clean modern cabin in an isolated setting yet close enough to Husavik and Myvatn lake. I have an interest in farming and tending animals in the unique setting of iceland. The owners went out of their way to answer all my questions about their sheep farm, the cost of energy, and more. Very welcoming and friendly people. "

The only other option was the town of Hick 25 miles Southwest. If you were traveling to Northern or eastern Iceland, it’s wise not to let you fuel get below half a tank and keep some extra food in the car in case you find yourself in a village where everything is closed at 6 PM. "The first night we looked at the lake but also the road so there was a lot of road noise. The second night they moved us to look at the church and it was wonderful, no noise at all. The hotel needs to put soft close hinges on their doors because everytime someone closes their door it shakes your room. The dining room for dinner was great. "
