「The restaurant selection was poor. The main restaurant was very expensive and the quality did not match the price. We ate at this restaurant on Friday night! The bar in the main lobby was not staffed! The club lounge/bar downstairs was packed all the time. The did not have adequate staff to serve the many people trying to eat, and we were just ignored! 「For the off season in NC, this was a good deal for a boutique hotel. It is small and quaint. We were in Room 7 which is TINY and has a European bathroom. We were fine but double check that if it’s an issue for you. There’s live music often in the restaurant and our room is directly above it. We liked the music but if you are looking for peace and quiet, it might not be the best place for you. Also, their Sip and Stay discount DOES NOT APPLY if you book anywhere but their website so just a heads...

「The exterior of the hotel is very nice. The fireplace and common area is really nice and welcoming. Staff is great. Rooms are dated and walls definitely need some soundproofing. Overall it was a good stay, will consider coming back in the summer. The surrounding area is beautiful and fun. 」

「This was the ideal staycation of all staycation. I felt the slightest twinge of guilt having the place all to ourselves on the weekend before it all gets incredibly busy, but I got over that real quick. Sorry, not sorry, we lucked out. This was dreamy from decorations to decor to ambience:
1. Gorgeous inside & out
2. The most impressive little touches of love and care and hospitality all over the place, too many to count, you'll have to go see for yourself.

「The property was very welcoming to myself, my wife, and our dog! Methodical Coffee onsite in the lobby was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend the Outpost Inn to anyone looking for a great place in Highlands!」
