「Beautiful, old hotel with interesting history. Comfortable, quiet room, bed and pillows. Walk to everything downtown. The only issue we had was that our toilet was clogged and so we had a plumber in our room for about 45 minutes, soon after dinner. But service came soon after I called. Also they didn’t have our room ready until 4:30 pm - checkin is supposed to be at 4 which is late by normal standards already. Otherwise, great hotel! 」

「Overall the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only complaint was the installation of a new thermostat for the room. It did not work (unless you wanted a/c only) the heat would not come on and the thermostat was complicated. Front desk staff did not know how to work the new thermostat. They were very kind and apologized. I just wish the hotel had made an attempt at training their staff before subjecting the guests to this new system. 」

「We thought that the breakfast options were excellent. The fitness center looked very impressive with a lot of weights and equipment and the pool looked nice and clean. We didn't get to use either of the last two, unfortunately.」

「Central location, yet quiet. With an early American building, every room is furnished differently with wooden floors and updated bathrooms. Fancy homemade breakfast can’t be beat thanks to chef Megan. Not overstaffed, but addressing any concern. Exceptional. A note about Expedia, which I’ve used many times. Days before my stay, I had to cancel the third night through Expedia. Their system tried to charge me an extra half of the 3-night total for the privilege of canceling the third night. An...
