「Our stay over July 4th weekend was nice, lovely resort, nice rooms, pretty lobby and grounds. The fireworks show was SPECTACULAR! Very well done! The one area that could use improvement is the pool staff-they were not very attentive at all-most people had to go to the bar to order drinks/food. They do put flags on each set of chairs that you can raise when you need something but those were basically ignored. 「I chose this hotel because it’s a DoubleTree by Hilton, and I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, my stay was extremely disappointing. The main reason I booked this hotel was to enjoy the pool, but it was filthy and clearly not being maintained. It was so dirty that we couldn’t even enjoy it, which defeated the entire purpose of our stay. The room was also muggy, hot, and uncomfortable, making the hotel feel poorly maintained overall. 「While our room was clean and the cleaning staff kept up the foyer and swimming area cleanly. The front desk could have been more helpful. I called with a minor issue with our room and the young man that answered the phone was not very helpful. I wasn’t sure if our conversation was over until I realized he hung up. I understand he may have had a long work day, but my family and I also had a long travel day. It would have been nice if he at least pretended to care about my issue.」

「Great little hidden gem. We always stay there once or twice a year just for fun. To relax. New owners and management and it shows. For a small boutique hotel they have it all going on. Lots of improvements just since last year. For a quick relaxing getaway or a secret romantic rendezvous it’s perfect!」
