“We chose Palmerston area rather than Darwin itself for convenience to where we needed to be. Also it was much more reasonably priced and the reviews of Darwin city hotels were generally pretty low whereas Rydges had rave reviews. We can see why. We have stayed in many hotels both in Oz and overseas and Rydges Palmerston was right up there with the best. Everything was spotless and each detail meticulously cared for. “The only pro is its location, right at the harborfront area with numerous restaurant/ bars nearby. The quality of this hotel is really well below standard. This hotel is always crowded, so if you booked more than 1 room, do not expect the rooms will be nearby or even on the same floor even you have requested in your reservation.
