"What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!"

"We stayed in Black Craig lodge which overall was great. It was clean, warm and fairly well resourced. Some small touches would have raised this review from 4 to 5 stars. There was a lack of any sort of welcome brochure and no welcome pack ( no tea, coffee, sugar or milk to get us started for example). There was no dish towel or cloth to wipe surfaces down and no oven glove. Though there was a dishwasher the lack of sufficient cutlery ( only 2 teaspoons for example) meant that this had to be hand...
