"Clean and modern hotel that is a short walk from Nakatsugawa station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast at the hotel had a decent selection and was delicious. The public bath was extremely clean and much appreciated after the walk between Magome and Tsumago. Not a complaint, but more of a comment is that the mattresses were very firm. Though this seemed to be the trend at the other hotels we stayed at in Japan. You will need to remove and lock up your shoes in the lobby. This is common at ryokan and some hotels in Japan. Though, you can certainly tell it keeps the carpets in the hallways and rooms much cleaner in general. Would definitely recommend staying at Onn for anyone planning to stay in Nakatsugawa"

"The staff at this property and surrounding businesses were all extremely helpful! We were first time travelers to Japan with very little Japanese comprehension and the staff were able to communicate well in English. The traditional breakfast and dinner were both very delicious and you can tell the chef and wait staff all enjoy their work very much. Our waitress was extremely understanding of us not being used to the cuisine and was extremely helpful if explaining dishes and the order of things around the hotel. The hot spring outdoor and indoor baths were all very clean and relaxing. The night sky was beautiful from the outdoor rock bath. I can without a shadow of a doubt recommend this location to anyone looking for a more authentic experience of traditional Japan as long as you’re up for a commute through the beautiful countryside and the mountains!!"

"Beds are super hard was unable to sleep. Plus I had some sort of alergic reaction to something in the room in this Route Inn and are previous stay at Lake Kagoshima.I dont normally suffer from allergies and I dont have Asthma but as soon as i layed down I got all stuffed up and had issues breathing when trying to sleep. Perhaps its a cleaning product they are using or the contents of the pillows unsure but that has never happened before both places I stayed for 1 night only. it was strange so wanted to mention it so they coulf find the cause and redolve the issue. Staff were very good efficient,polite, free breakfasr coupon a nice surprise "

"Everything else was excellent except its bathroom, rather small and its floor is slanted for water flow. The room came with the great view of mountains of Komagatake. Within walking distance to various attractions including famous Kozenji temple. The only reason I gave the rating of 4 is because of its bathroom."
