「Wir haben hier 3 Nächte verbracht aufgrund der Nähe zum Addo Park. Die Unterkunft selbst ist toll, das Personal sehr bemüht. Wir sind sehr früh abgereist aufgrund des Fluges und uns wurde ein schönes Frühstückspaket vorbereitet. Es ist ausreichend Platz vorhanden, eine landestypische Unterkunft, die dennoch die „Vorstellungen“ eines Europäers erfüllt. Die Unterkunft ist jedoch ca 1 std mit dem Auto von Port Elizabeth entfernt und man muss kurz hinter PE durch ein recht unsicher wirkendes Gebiet...

「Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich. Habe während dem Nachtessen die Safari beim Personal gebucht und funktionierte alles einwandfrei. Die Anlage ist gross und sehr sauber gehalten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dies Unterkunft gehen. M. M」

「Tolle Unterkunft in Mitten der Natur. Ein tolles Restaurant mit wirklich sehr gutem Essen und Personal. Die Zimmer (Zelte) sind sehr süß und bieten alles was man braucht. Man muss aber beachten, dass es kein Hotelzimmer ist, sondern ein Zelt. Es war ein schönes Abenteuer und wir konnten viel Energie tanken. Die geführten Safaris zum Addo Elephant Park waren ebenfalls schön, die Reisedauer beträgt ca. 30 Minuten. Wir empfehlen ein großes Auto für die Anfahrt mit Allradantrieb, da die Strecke sehr...

「Our stay was incredible. Desmond, our guide, gave us some incredible sights and we were really lucky to see 4 out of the big 5 alongside various other interesting animals. The reserve is vast and there is plenty to see, the fact that there are various lodges across the reserve means even if you have a fairly quiet hotel, there are plenty of rangers out doing drives which helps your chances of animals being spotted and your ranger making their way there. The accomodation is lovely, a perfect room...

「Conveniently located near the N2 road to Port Elizabeth and very close to the south entrance of Addo Elephant park. The B&B is beautifully presented, comfortable, clean, quiet and lovely hosts who make you feel welcome and at home. In the morning I was surprised to be right by the river, eating a lovely cooked breakfast on the decking outside. I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again. Thank you 」

「From the very first moment and the warm welcome this was an unforgettable experience. The lodges, the setting (even the amazing 28km gravel track to get in!), the staff & the food were first class. Top all of that off with an elephant encounter and you have memories that will last a lifetime! The ladies there arranged a half-day guided safari for us at nearby Addo Game Reserve - thoroughly recommend that too.」

「My family and I had a very comfortable 3-night stay at Happy Lands and visited Addo Elephant Park each day. On arrival, we were welcomed by the lovely host family to a very peaceful setting. The cottage patio looks onto beautiful gardens with mature trees. My husband wasn’t able to join us on this holiday, and we’ve already decided that we’d love to visit again to show him the farm. 」

「Wij hebben hier een fijne tijd gehad. Lisa stuurde vooraf handige informatie over de app. Het verblijf lag op steenworp afstand van addo elephant park af en in de buurt waren leuke eettentjes en een supermarkt. De kamers waren geweldig. We werden in de ochtend wakker van fluitende en een fantastisch uitzicht 」

「Eine Location mit sehr viel Charme, tollem Ranger Clifford, freundlichsten Personal, auch wenn die Eintichtungen etwas „in die Jahre“ gekommen sind. Für die Anfahrt über die letzten 14 km unbefestigte Straße sind sicher 30 min Autofahrt einzuplanen. Diese Straße muss man auch zurück, wenn der Nationalpark besucht wird.」

「Lovely hotel to stay at when visiting Addo. Rooms are huge and the bathroom is lovely, especially the outdoor shower. Only downside is there is no door so the light comes in as soon as the sun rises. 10-15 min drive to Addo, not much in the local area. Breakfast was good, buffet selection and eggs cooked to order. Nice pool with towels and sunscreen provided which was a nice touch.」
