Escape to a stunning Iowa rural landscape and enjoy a peaceful getaway at this fantastic vacation rental. Hosting 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a well-appointed living space with a log-cabin feel, this home invites you to unwind with ease after days spent venturing down Raccoon River waters or cycling the Raccoon River Bike Trail. The lodge is an authentic timber frame structure. Step outside and listen to the breeze pass through trees, the chirps of seasonal birds, and calls of other wildlife.

This beautiful home was large enough for our family and the kids really enjoyed the swing set and card games!!! Within 25 minutes of Living History Farm which was a hit for our family! A nice quiet location and wonderful, large screened porch for the whole family. Since the mosquitos were way too friendly. We enjoyed it!!!

Communication from beginning to end was excellent. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner, who was friendly and inviting. It’s nice that the owners are close in case we had concerns (which we had zero).The landscape was gorgeous and the house is 5! When you enter the lodge, it is open and inviting. We came as a group of ladies from our Fellowship. The table had enough seating for us to eat our meals together, and the living room had ample room for us to gather together. It was peaceful to be able to sit on the screened in porch and watch the birds and listen to nature; beautiful views! We fixed all our meals in the fully stocked chefs kitchen. Everything is laid out well and there wasn’t such a thing as too many cooks in this kitchen . Rooms are laid out well and comfortable. A close drive into town for hiking/biking trails. If you’re looking for a gathering place with family and friends, this is the place!! It is SO peaceful. Next time, we’ll check out the hot tub. Our ladies group have decided this is “our” place! Lord willing we’ll be back next year!

Family Wedding Weekend

I and my family were quite impressed with the property. We have stayed at several short term rentals in the past and this one has been our favorite. From the very nice and spacious house that allowed adults and kids to sleep comfortably to the spacious outside space that gave us room to play and enjoy the nice spring weather it was all fabulous. If we have the need to stay in the area again I absolutely would use Timberpine Lodge again.

Family Christmas

The house was big and beautiful! Very easy to check in and the manager was great getting back to me when I had questions. the kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. Hot tub was nice. Loved the gas stove in the living room for heat. The kids (and adults) loved watching the birds at the feeder. The only thing we would change is having a tv in the living room. When grandsons wanted to watch tv, someone had to be in the basement with them. So then the family was separated. But maybe the tv gets too loud with the high ceiling in the living room. We will probably stay again!

Friends Forever

I grew up in a small town not far from this beautiful rental in Adel. Right off of a main highway but secluded by country surroundings. Super clean and great furnishings. My Iowa classmates meet each year and this is our favorite place to stay. You can’t ask for nicer owners or better facilities. A 10+ all the way. We will be back next year!

Had an awesome weekend with the guys. This place was truly the cherry on top! Amazing stay and the perfect place to unwind with all the space one could ever need! Family Gathering

Timberline Lodge was the perfect place for our extended family of 9 to stay. There was a high chair and pack and play for our grand baby and bunk beds for our other grand children. The adults loved the hot tub and appreciated our nightly relaxing soaks. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was a beautiful place to stay.

Marvelous Lodge & Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this incredible property. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean and wonderfully furnished. Communications with the host were superb, and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Terrific grounds, amazing outdoor spaces, close to several bike paths and an easy trip to Des Moines if that’s of interest. We loved it!

If you’re thinking about booking this property DO IT!

We had our girls weekend at this property this year. There were 12 of us. Plenty of bathrooms, plenty of space for us to spread out and get some quiet time. The hot tub is awesome and the screened in porch was heavenly. LOVE the heater out there. There was plenty of seating at the fire pit too! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything a larger group would need. Plenty of pots and pans and cooking utensils. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet out-of-the-way place for your next get together!

Beautiful Home!

This home is absolutely beautiful! We stayed with 2 other families, all with kids 12 and under. The yard was a perfect spot for the kiddos to play! The house is set up well for multiple families! They had everything we needed at the house for a fantastic weekend!

Amazing Getaway & Wonderful Stay at Timberpine Lodge

Greg & Cheryl are the perfect hosts. Our family gathered for a long holiday weekend at the lodge and it was a joy to visit. The lodge is tucked away in a beautiful, quiet rural area outside of city limits. The amenities were plentiful, cleanliness was outstanding, check in process was seamless, indoor space is voluminous, and is truly a hidden gem in Dallas County. We look forward to returning again in the very near future.

Beautiful location

This home is a wonderful and relaxing place to retreat from the busyness of life without having to travel so far from the Des Moines area. The house had everything we needed and the yard was peaceful and full of woodland creatures. We enjoyed bird watching and being close to nature.

Blissful Relaxation

Timberpine Lodge was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. There were plenty of dishes and cookware for all our needs. It was a quiet and serene location, very beautiful with all the trees on the property. We had an enjoyable time just sitting in the screened in porch and watching all the birds at the bird feeder. Would love to visit again.
