“First impression I was disappointed in the room That old worn feeling. However it was as clean as could be expected from old. It was a quiet room comfy bed. I had a wonderful sleep. Nice restaurant across the street with best scallops I’ve had in a very long time. Overall it was excellent value and I would stay again. ”

“Reasonably priced for a hotel in the middle of downtown, within walking distance of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was included at the adjoining restaurant and was excellent. Not fancy, but excellent value for what we paid. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Cute, comfy, spacious, nice large window, lovely decor and easy to find being slightly out of town. Great place to stay with a few nice extra touches (wall pumps with nice shampoo AND even conditioner!!) The breakfast basket with yummy scones was fine for our schedule- their on site breakfast room was not yet open. Highly recommended. ”

“Kathryn & John are very focused on making their guests comfortable. The unit is extra clean, well appointed with furnishings, and exactly as portrayed in the listing. The setting is extra rural. A very quiet place. You can see the stars at night, hear the birds all day, and watch a porcupine climb up a tree out your window. Antigonish is a small town, a 10-minute drive away. But we found everything we needed. The unit is strategically located about 40 minutes from the causeway to Cape Breton……

“Lovely stay with lots of room for all of us. We celebrated Christmas with family here and it was the perfect spot. Well-appointed for dining if all types. Lots of storage in the kitchen. Worth noting that hot tub is seasonal, which was a surprise and a bit of a disappointment to our party.”

“An older home that has been beautifully redone with beautiful ocean views in a woodsy area. Every bedroom has a deck or porch to enjoy. John and Kathryn have thought of everything. We felt at home immediately!”

“A beautiful place to stay. Everything was very neat and tidy. It is just a little remote so stop at a grocery store about 30 minutes away. You will not want to leave just to eat. There is a mini-kitchen and bonus a BBQ. Loved the rocking chairs on the porch. The only negative really is that the bed springs are really noisy and the mattress is not all that comfy. A great place to sit back and relax,”
