"Truly enjoyed my stay here. What stood out was how helpful the staff were! We had a delayed flight which resulted in us arriving long after check in period had closed. We called the hotel and communicated our worries. They were more than accommodating and allowed us to check in and left instructions to make it a smooth process. Really appreciated their assistance and the stay as well!"

Chlachain Inn

"We had a great one night stay at the Clachain Inn. We had arrived wanting a bit of people space and our room delivered that space and haven after the journey in by train. The room was clean, the highland soap toiletries were great. The bed was comfortable. We ate in the inn for dinner which had a good choice and delicious food, we also took advantage of the breakfast which was included in our overnight stay. This was absolutely delicious and survived the full day on this alone. We would stay again."

Tingle Creek Hotel

"This place sounded like a place you'd find in Australia. Not to be confused with Australis's own Wolf Creek. The isolation is the only thing these two places have in common, but Tingle Creek is a much more peaceful and quiet location. Shower was great, bed even better and the breakfast allowed you to choose from hot and cold selection, choosing how much and what you wanted to eat. Ive been to many hotels with breakfast included and a lot goes to waste as they often give you too much. They don't offer dinner but maybe that will come in time. Still I would rate this place. Balmacara Hotel

"We had a great time at this hotel. We were there 2 nights and it was very easy to get in the car and see all of Isle of Sky from there. The property was under some construction but they did a good job of keeping it mostly away from the rest of the hotel. We were probably going to miss dinner one night but the staff said they’d put in an order for us at 8:15 pm so we could roll in with a reserved seat and eat before they closed. Nice! Breakfast was good and customers can order an egg a different way if you prefer something other than scrambled. We realized our back patio door didn’t lock and we let the front desk know. Parking is tight but the staff actually walked outside to help us get settled somewhere each night. The staff bent over backwards for us! Second floor had some historical pictures of the area and they weren’t great but the art on the first floor was bright and fun. The upstairs pictures might be changing with the construction. The hotel dining areas had excellent views of the water and mountains. The food was really good and tried different things both evenings. We really enjoyed it! I think, if I’m remembering correctly that it was under new management starting in late 2025-early 2026 so whatever they are doing differently, they are doing it right! Loved it and would go back again if we are ever back in the area."

"Can’t say too much about how amazing an experience our stay was. Check in process, the room, the scotch in the room, the tour, and the food in the restaurant but above all of that were the staff. Without exception, they went above and beyond to make things special. A slightly wider double bed would be the only thing that I’d change. Just visit!!"
