Lovely location, very easy place to live
Both 'older adults' and younger ones loved our stay here. Plenty of room to stretch out and an easy stroll to the Garden of Tane and downtown Akaroa. We appreciated the dog-friendly environment also. It will be our first choice to stay when we go back to Akaroa

Perfect for a group getaway
This was a great property for our group of five adults and a dog. Four bedrooms meant we all had our own space and the open plan living was great for shared meals and entertaining drop-in visitors. Plenty of toys for little ones, hundreds of CDs, some DVDs, books and Netflix on the smart TV kept us well entertained. Even bowls and bed for the four-legged member of our group. Check-in was a bit gnarly (wrong pin provided) but the Bachcare 0800 number was a quick call and they got us sorted in ten minutes. This was a well-stocked house in reasonably tidy and clean condition. It would be great if other pet owners cleaned up the outdoor mess - perhaps a condition that should be put on the property. Lovely gardens and outdoor areas. Totally instagrammable house. Quick walk to lighthouse and town through the Garden of Tane. We’d rent again!
