Oceanfront double size beach condo in La Sirena condominium

In the heart of the Riviera Maya, at only 30 min from Playa del Carmen and 90 min from Cancun, this breathtaking place is perfect for the quiet get away in a family or small group. Akumal is best known for its cristal clear waters and flora and fauna on land and in the sea. "Akumal" in the mayan language means "Land of the turtles", so THAT would be the main reason to not skip this authentic place! Whether you like scuba diving, snorkeling or just going for a swim in the sea, you are most definitely going to see those amazing creatures and its fish friends enjoying the bahia. Although this is a popular site for ecofriendly tourists, it is still one of the most secluded spots for our local animals. The neighborhood of Akumal has created an association with all the locals and owners of properties in this little town to set up guidelines and rules to allow all holiday makers to enjoy this piece of land at the fullest but still protect the jewel of Akumal! Half Moon Bay, which is a perfect and relaxing place for the turtles to come in and lay their eggs in one of the many protected areas in HMB, is where our condo is located.

A new advanced cleaning protocol has been implemented which includes, hot steam ironing of all mattresses and sofas between check ins, all pillows washed, no back to back check ins, all surfaces and handles cleaned with chlorine and/ or Lysol, plenty of hand sanitizing gel available to all guests, spray bottles with desinfectant and cleaning products available to all guests, and much more! One of the major attractions in Akumal is that it is located right at the second largest reef in the world and in its surroundings you can find more than 200 different entries to sinkholes (cenotes) and underground rivers. No matter what road you drive on or what turn you take, there is always a cenote close by to visit.

Our condo (number 6/7) is part of a condominium called La Sirena. This condo consists of two units made one! So its extra spacious, allowing maximum light and the best views of the surrounding beach, sea, pool and garden! You have it all!

The condo itself has three large bedrooms with a private bathroom each. An additional WC is right by the dining room and TV area. In addition, a bar is strategically placed by the large living room with the most spectacular view to the ocean and easy access to the balcony. Therefore, no matter whether you want to enjoy the view under the sun, heat and breeze on the balcony or from the comfort of your air conditioned bar inside, the ocean is right with you! You just take care of the drinks though :)

In the evening, maybe during down time with kids, you can enjoy a movie on a brand new flat screen TV or play board games at the large dining table for 8 people.

If you are ready to explore something outside La Sirena and the condo, maybe it is time to go to Lagoon YalKu, which is a walk of literally 5 minutes. There you can snorkel some more and enjoy endless sea life.

In the evenings, a stroll in the street or along the beach leads you to quite a few local restaurants with great food! The restaurants make a huge effort to welcome their guests with live music and mexican ambience.
