Clean hotel, small room, no kitchen

I booked the hotel because I can see some kitchen picture in Expedia, however I cannot find sharing kitchen to use, and finally I have to go out for dinner. Room is clean but small, I cannot even open the luggage cases. Everything is normal

Annars bara góð :)

Glæsilegt hús á besta stað, vantaði upp á þrif, mylsna í skúffum og óhreinindi á gólfum. Vantaði smá upp á þægindi t.d snaga fyrir handklæði og föt. Lekur vaskur á baði og ískraði í öllum hurðahúnum sem er óþægilegt þegar 3 herbergi deila baði. Teketill og bollar á herbergi en ekkert kaffi eða mjólkurduft. Gæti verið svo flott ef passað væri betur upp á þessi litlu atriði.

Hôtel Akureyri

Nous avons été surclassés à l’Hotel Akureyri. Séjour super, la chambre était très bien agencée et le lit confortable. Nous avons pu profiter d’une magnifique vue sur le fjord et avons même pu observer les baleines tous les matins!

Magnífico!

Excelente ubicación, limpieza y mi cuarto estuvo increíble. Fácil acceso al centro caminando donde están los restaurantes, barras, cine y todo lo esencial que ver en Akureyri. Nos encantó la barra del hostal Akureyri backpackers donde podrás pasar un rato magnífico y conocer otras personas. **Importante el "check in" se realiza en Hotel Akureyri que está ubicado a la llegada del pueblo. Luego de eso puedes ir con las llaves a la casa que queda aproximadamente a 8 min en vehículo. ¡Sin duda lo recomiendo!

Die Beschreibung bei Expedia entspricht NICHT der Realität! Da wurde das Bild vom Guesthouse mit der Einrichtung und dem Service des Hotels zusammen gepackt. Sehr kleine Zimmer, 5 qm, kein Kleiderschrank, kein Waschbecken dünne Wände, quietschende Türen, Badezimmer mit Toilette und Minidusche in einem Raum 3 qm für 5 Doppelzimmer. Fenster wie überall in Island nur einen Spalt zu öffnen. Frühstück 1km entfernt im Hotel!

The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, and in a good location for access to town. Check-in was a little difficult as we had to drive to a different location to pick up the key as it wasn't brought to the guesthouse, but once I was able to get in touch with reception we figured it out!

Really enjoyed this older home. It was in a good location for all of our tourist needs. Shared bath was not a problem. Beds were comfy and enjoyed Sunday breakfast in bed!!

Gutes Gästehaus in der Nähe des Zentrums

Ich war sechs Tage Gast, kurze Laufdistanz zum Zentrum mit Cafés und Restaurants, außerdem gute Wandermöglichkeiten im Kjarnaskógur. Sehr ruhiges Gästehaus.

Beautiful property within a short walk to downtown

Loved this beautiful guest house, the lovely furnishings and decor, the high quality bedding, the comfortable bed and pillows, and the fantastic location! Who would stay in just a hotel when this guesthouse is an option!?

Det slutade med att vi hamnade på hotellet som också driver detta guest house eftersom vi hade en trasig fönsterruta i vårt rum. Personalen var vänlig och tillmötesgående och vi fick byta till hotellet utan krångel och som en bonus ingick också gratis frukost buffe. Vad vi däremot finner lite märkligt är att bokningen via hotels.com med förbetalning visade sig vara nästan dubbelt så dyr som om vi hade bokat direkt med hotellet utan förbetalning?!

Awesome location in Akureyri!

Loved the atmosphere at AkurInn, although it felt more like a hotel than a guesthouse. Our room was nicely decorated with a mix of antique and modern furniture. The only downside was that we couldn’t push the beds together because the central bedside table couldn’t be moved. The bathroom fixtures/tiles could use some updating. Check-in/out was very easy. There is a call button outside the guesthouse to reach the operators and our key was waiting for us inside. Great location only a couple blocks from restaurants/shops downtown. Also a fabulous mountain view! One problem was our room location on the second floor.....there were drinks/snacks for sale outside our room so we had some other tenants making popcorn right outside our door in the middle of the night! Can’t hold that against the guesthouse though! Overall great spot for a quick overnight stay.

Þægilegt gistiheimili á sanngjörnu verði

Akurinn er þægilegt gistiheimli og fékk ég herbergið á sanngörnu verði. Ég var einn, gisti eina nótt í vinnuferð og var því ekki með miklar kröfur. Allt var hreint og snyrtilegt. Ég myndi bóka þetta aftur í samsvarandi erindum. Í húsinu er hvergi setustofa eða þannig rými, sem skipti ekki máli í þetta sinn, en gæti skipt máli ef það væru fleiri að ferðast saman.
