“This is a fantastic homestay location, and called "resort hotel in Thumboly" by some of the local auto drivers. I booked this on an impulse travel through hotels dot com website and fully enjoyed my stay. The owner (Mr. George) and the manager Mr. Shibu were prompt with communication and helpful. Mr. Shibu spoke to the auto driver via my phone call and guided him correctly. Google maps does a solid job too. Location is about 4ish km from Alappuzha railway station and about 2km from main……

“The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the food was good. What I thought could be improved was the cleanliness of the bathroom, the route was in the middle of the lake and large portions of the day was spent simply docked on shore. I would only recommend going for one night. We booked two nights and they gave us a refund for our second night as they did not have enough guests on our boat to take us out and when we asked about the route they said it would be the same. While we didn’t get to try all the amenities due to the NY eve rush, the complimentary boat ride on the lake Vemnad was amazing (I would highly recommend to book in advance as it fills our fast).
