Excellent home and location

Owners were super easy to contact if needed, very friendly. Large home that can easily accommodate 8-10 people. Large and private property with an amazing deck, spectacular firepit area, and large open areas for wiffle ball games, frisbee, etc.

Cozy home in the woods.

The property was nice and beautifully decorated! We enjoyed the fire pit area! We made good use Of the kitchen, some items were missing but we purchased them and left them behind for the next guests to use.

A wonderful family place

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was beautiful, the house was so spacious and comfortable. There was lots to do nearby, so many lovely places to see. We ventured into the town of Jim Thorpe, which was amazing. The kids also loved the boulder field and the waterfall. We would highly recommend this place to others, and would love to visit again.

Peaceful location

This was an amazing stay full of peace and quiet my family enjoy all the space and comfort that this cabin have communication with owners was no a problem nice size kitchen 2 bathrooms and 1/2 room for everybody and more we enjoy the view and movies this family retreat was something to treasure thanks a lot for letting us inn to tour amazing cabin looking forward to come back on summer thanks again you guys have a lovely home 5 stars I recommended to anybody who is looking for a quiet place away from everything.

Great experience

Loved this rental! Super spacious inside and the outside space was a huge bonus. The setting was private with a huge deck overlooking the beautiful countryside. It’s centrally located amongst several local attractions.

This was our second year at Bears Boards n' Boots. It's just a fantastic place to stay! This place sleeps 10 people, has comfy beds and couches, 2 1/2 baths, a great rear deck, and awesome fire pit area! There's plenty of room for everyone no matter what area of the property your on.Only 20 minutes from attractions in Jim Thorpe. There's numerous pizza shops, Dollar stores, gas stations, pubs, and a little grocery store all within a very short drive from the cabin. Don't hesitate to stay here, it's just a nice place and Shawn and Leah are great hosts! This property has a giant yard area!It would have been nice if the grass was mowed before we arrived. My group likes to play yard games such as Bocce Ball and BucketGolf.The longer length of the grass made it hard to play any yard games.Other than that we had a great stay! Thanks again!

The house was spacious. Lots of area to hang out sit and relax. Close to both mountains JFBB. Plenty of beds to sleep. Great communication from the host when we had questions.

Our home away from home

This is our families 3rd stay at this home. I cannot possibly say enough good things about it. It’s very spacious, has everything you need and is so peaceful. We travel every February to the area for a family snowboarding trip and this is always our place to stay. We have a wonderful time every trip and hope to enjoy this place for many more years to come. Another enjoyable stay at "The Boots"

This was our second time staying at house. Comfortable and very convenient to Hickory Run State Park. When we couldn't enjoy the outdoors because of the rain, we were able to gather around the TV downstairs, and use the downstairs table for board games. Thank you Shawn and Leah!

Gathering Friends!

This home was incredible!! The spacious home accommodated 8 adults very comfortably. The large airy open home was perfect for a large party to conversate and the sitting areas, although in the open area, worked well for chats separate from the group. My husband and I stayed in the smallest twin room and were still very comfortable. The decor is warm and inviting and I really hope to come back!

Beautiful, Peaceful, Perfect!

Don't look any further! This place is perfect! Very Clean! Great Beds! Beautiful Big deck that we sat out on every night and watched the deer come out in the field along the side of the house. One morning we saw five bucks right up next to the house at the same time! You are close enough to everything you need and everywhere you want to go but far enough it is quiet and peaceful. We love this place! Hated to leave! Definitely stay here again!

A Perfect Pocono Retreat – Highly Recommend!

Bears Boards n' Boots was exactly what we needed for a relaxing escape to the Poconos. From the moment we arrived, the house felt warm and inviting. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a stress-free stay.One of the standout features was the layout. With three separate living areas, each with cozy couches, there was plenty of space for both kids and adults to spread out and do their own thing. The outdoor setup was just as impressive, the fire pit and spacious deck made for great evenings outside. While the rain kept us from spending much time outdoors, the swings around the fire pit were such a fun addition, and the kids absolutely loved them! The deck itself is huge and offers a peaceful view of the trees and forest.The location is another big plus, close to Hickory Run State Park, where we enjoyed hiking and nature walks. If you're looking for a well-located, peaceful stay in the Poconos with easy access to outdoor activities, Bears Boards n' Boots is a great choice. We'll definitely be back!Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

Great getaway!

House was perfect fit for our family/friends crew. 30 minutes from Jack Frost and Kalahari indoor water park. Loved relaxing by the wood-burning fireplace! Fav spot in the house. Basement for our 3 teen girls was a perfect hangout. 3 bathrooms was very beneficial! Deck would've been awesome to hangout on but was covered in snow so was relaxing to look out back door as it was snowing! So pretty!! Great long weekend trip made of many memories!

We are a church family, and we needed a place that was spacious.and we got that. Everyone was happy, except for the living room chairs.. we are all over 50, so when we sat down most of us had a hard time climbing out of them, myself included..lololol. What we needed

We visited with 2 of our four children and their significant others. With them all being adults now, connecting without outside influences is tough at home. We loved being away and the Bears and Boots place was what we needed to connect. We all enjoyed the time away. Amble space, and comfort. I cooked for all of them, my favorite, played card games, that we brought, slept well, and overall enjoyed ourselves. Rested and recharged for the new year. The hosts were wonderful! They answered our questions, can opener and an app, were all we needed. Thank you for allowing us to use your space Alberts!

Great place to stay in the Pocono's!

All I can say is "WOW"! What a great place to stay in the Pocono's. Especially if you happen to have a larger group going. Let me tell you this....everyone in my group was loving the property. This place has a huge deck out back, plenty of lawn, and a nice size firepit with swings around it. Clean and comfortable inside, with plenty of room. We loved having 3 bathrooms, and two with showers! Updated appliances, K-cup and pour over coffee makers,and a nice double stainless steel kitchen sink. Plenty of kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and plenty of plates, bowls, etc. There is a huge table downstairs that works great for poker/tabletop game playing. Also a big screen TV and sectional couches, upstairs and downstairs. We couldn't believe how much room there was inside to stretch out and relax. Three sectional couches. Just a great piece of property to enjoy. We were a little surprised about security cameras being mounted in the front and rear of the property. Especially one pointed right at the fire pit area. This was not mentioned in any part of the rental description. It made a few people in my group slightly uneasy. All in all, everyone enjoyed the property and had an excellent time. We loved it! We cant wait to come back next year and do it all over again. We would like to thank our hosts Leah and Shawn for having us at their awesome place!
