We were, in the words of our daughter, catfished by the photos. The delightful and colourful soft furnishings are no longer present, neither are the fluffy towels. The main upstairs bedroom now has a display cabinet covering an entire wall, including the side window.Pros: it's a nice villa, it's clean and in a quiet residential area, well equipped kitchen, close to supermarkets, pleasant walk to the centre of AlbufeiraCons: well-used, old and fraying towels and bedding, creaking beds, the security camera, lack of basic cleaning products, no curtains in the two double bedroomsFor a villa that is advertised with BBQ and heatable pool - it wasn't heated during our stay and the BBQ has seen better days (we didn't use it).The motion-triggered security camera was off-putting. Especially when it panned round to the sun-loungers and stayed in position long after any movement had been detected.We asked the property management company if the beds frames could be tightened, but nothing was done.We didn't need to use the air conditioning but it was impossible to turn off the motion sensor in the double bedrooms so they would beep in the night if we moved in our sleep.But, despite the villa's shortcomings, we had a nice holiday.
