Ground Floor: Living room (AC, SMART TV, WiFi) with dining area and doors to covered terrace. Kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer) with door to garden. Double bedroom (AC) with en suite shower and door to garden. Cloakroom. First Floor: Double bedroom (AC) with sea view. Twin bedroom (AC) and doors to terrace with sea view. Two separate bathrooms. Outside: Covered and open terraces. Dining area with in-built barbecue. Spacious lawn with uninterrupted countryside and sea views. Enclosed grounds with private parking. Privileged locations don’t come much better than this! This handsome, Mallorcan farmhouse, sits proudly in a gently elevated position within its own sizeable grounds. Gently sloping lawns sweep down to a patchwork of fields and olive groves beyond to a vista where sea, sky and mountains merge on the horizon to create spectacular panoramic views.
Approached via a winding country lane, constructed in the local rustic stone and surrounded by neatly bordered lawns, Ca Na Baussana has been thoughtfully designed with a wide, wooden beamed terrace, an ample first floor balcony and relaxing pool area all positioned perfectly in order to indulge in the far reaching views across to the Bay of Pollenca.
The living accommodation flows effortlessly from one room to the next with an abundance of natural light making the villa feel bright and airy. An air conditioned, open plan lounge with dining area leads through to a well-equipped kitchen, whilst patio doors open out from this communal area on to a spacious covered dining terrace, where grabbing a chair and a good book will while away several blissful hours. The ground floor double bedroom with en suite shower and its own direct access to the garden is always a plus for those with walking difficulties or looking for a little more independence from the rest of the household. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms each with a separate bathrooms and there’s nothing to rival the feeling when stepping out on to the extensive balcony to immerse yourself in those wonderful views across towards Alcudia and the bay even more impressive from the elevated aspect.
While not exactly off the beaten track, Alcudia old town tends to lay quietly under the tourist radar, rewarding visitors with a genuine local flavour emanating through its narrow-cobbled streets and medieval ramparts - something you don’t necessarily find in the coastal resorts. Restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets can be found dotted amidst shady plazas and the Alcudia Experience wouldn’t be complete without venturing along to the trendy marina and sandy Platja d’Alcudia beach.
One could not be better placed for exploring this fascinating corner of the island, the sandy shoreline of the famous Playa de Muro beach is just 10 minutes by car, walkers will enjoy discovering the intricate network of country lanes that criss-cross the surrounding area and bird watchers are sure to be familiar with the S’Albufereta nature reserve nearby.
