"The host Monika Mai was sooo incredibly nice! We arrived later than expected at 1:00 AM and had gotten lost. Monika Mai came and found us and led us to the house. She was so kind and welcoming. At the end of our stay she even helped us out and printed our flight confirmations for us! Excellent hostess who went above and beyond! The house is clean with an updated bathroom. It has beautiful views and is a short drive into town. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!"

"6 of us spent 2 wonderful days hiking in and around Gimmelwald, including the cable car to the Schlithorn. The town was much more quaint than Murren and had amazing views from our deck. We stopped at the store in Lauterbrautten to get groceries and created our own breakfasts and packed lunches."

"From booking to arriving and then leaving the process was very easy. The chalet itself is stunning, photos I saw prior to arriving did not do the property justice. This is without a doubt the best property we have booked in Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen is stunning and has numerous restaurants and shops. Parking in town can be difficult, but there is a path across from the chalet that is a lovely cycle into town. I will book this again next year. "

"Gimmelwald is like a fairytale and Husmättli is a wonderful house to stay in. The view of the mountains and waterfalls are really a sight to see. Gino, the host, is very nice as well. If you have the chance to stay here, please do. You will be happy you did."

"Our stay was great. Hosts were lively and lovely. They showed us around personality. Were handy with great local tips. It was in a rural setting with lovely sarrounding. Plenty of activities around. Major centres like Interlaken Grindelwald, Lucerne within an hour's reach. Equipped kitchen, without microwave though, only one bathroom/ toilet if that matters. Else was nice stay and loved it. Will recommend and will book again in future"

"My recent stay at Hotel Onya in Switzerland was truly exceptional, far surpassing any expectations set by its online presence. The photos, while lovely, simply do not do the hotel justice; it's infinitely warmer and more inviting in person, creating an immediate sense of comfort. The views from the hotel are nothing short of incredible, offering breathtaking panoramas that made every moment feel like a postcard. Beyond the stunning scenery, the hotel's restaurant delivered an unparalleled culinary experience. The food was, quite honestly, the best I've had in all of Switzerland, a testament to their exceptional quality and skill. However, the true highlight of my stay, and what made Hotel Onya truly shine, was Isabelle. She was an absolute delight – consistently warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Her genuine hospitality and delightful demeanor made every interaction a pleasure, and the owners are truly fortunate to have her representing their establishment. The waitstaff throughout the restaurant was also remarkably friendly and attentive, further enhancing the overall experience. After spending five days exploring Switzerland, our time at Hotel Onya was unequivocally our favorite part. I am already planning my return, eager to experience the hotel and its surroundings in the winter, to enjoy the snow side rather than just the hiking. For anyone seeking an unforgettable stay in Switzerland, Hotel Onya comes with my highest recommendation."
