“Room -230- was pretty clean and did not spell of smoke or pot. Breakfast eggs could have been cooked longer, too runny, and I usually eat anything. Cream cheese but no bagels, especially on a Saturday morning when it is busy, you should have more options. Everything else was good.”

“All the staff (regardless of what time of day you interacted with them) were very pleasant and got along with one another. The longevity of their time working for The Super 8 in Dunbar is a testament to how they’re treated by management. I stayed at the other 2 hotels in Dunbar and the owner has a big turnover of staff. If you like black mold and questionable bookkeeping (ie., billing inflated) don’t reserve at the Super 8. If you like clean rooms and honest billing then the Super 8 is the place……

“I was considering the Marriot Towne Center in Charleston WV first bc my family was there. I'm glad I choose Microtel. Wow what a difference! My family was not at all happy at the Marriot and I could definitely see the upscale difference. My room was crisp and clean. The bathroom the same. The amenities in the room the best. Although the Continental breakfast was same as most, at least it was offered free. Marriot nothing free for breakfast. I chose the side facing away from parking lot bc it……

“The rooms were nasty. Blood stains on the sheets in several. They actually had to up grade my room for the same price just to find a clean room.”

“Nearby mall and sit down restaurant. Easy on/off location from interstate highways.”

“We chose this hotel because it had 2 treadmills. We arrived and 1 was broken. No one knew why or any idea when it would be fixed. More importantly no one cared. Had to spend extra money at planet fitness. Nobody cared.”

“Only giving two stars because of the staff member who was there when we arrived and the quality of the breakfast. Otherwise, terrible experience. The staff member who checked us in was very helpful, especially when the first set of keys didn't work and again when I had to ask for extra towels (only two bath towels in a two bedroom suite booked for a family of 5). The room was gross — we found a pair of men's boxer shorts in the bathroom, secondary sink in the second suite room was not cleaned.……

“Very clean and beds were comfortable. Best nights sleep we had in over a week! Breakfast was good and had a nice selection of food. Would definitely stay here again.”

“The breakfast was fabulous. Everything else was disappointing. The hotel was very busy and a bus had dropped off a group of guests. They had two receptionists to check everyone in and the li e was 5 deep. Once I got my room assignment, it took me another 15 minutes to catch an elevator because one of the three elevators was out of service. The pool was a disaster. Dirty, wet towels overflowing, trash everywhere, cloudy water. I know they are renovating to pool soon, but cleaning is still……

“Very clean, very helpful, close to everything. Its a utilitarian place so not a lot of amenities but worked very very well for our stay. Safe area.”
