“This is not where we normally stay in Decorah. Booked due to availability. Please do not stay here. Service poop, toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. Had to ask three times for bath towels on our second day, they didn't have any clean. Not enough for all rooms at the time. We made it work but never again.”

“It was so nice that the breakfast was open an hour earlier to accommodate the large amount of dancers for our competition in Decorah. We had a great time in the pool area as well! The rooms were updated and the space felt clean. ”

“there was lack of clarity around whether my AARP or AAA membership was applied; although I was told if I didn't use it when I made the reservation on line; It probably wasn't applied. I mentioned it when I checked in but they never asked for my card to verify my membership.”

“better comp breakfast than most places. Very clean facilities. Staff was friendly, I wish they had a hot tub but the indoor pool was heated so at least the water was not cold. I Have stayed here multiple times.”

“Very easy to access”

“We had an amazing, peaceful, and private stay—just what we wanted! The location was great and very close to everything decorah has to offer! The fall colors were beautiful and definitely showing off for us. We ended up using the air mattress to sleep on and that worked out really well for us as the back of the futon wasn’t very comfortable, but great for sitting! We were never able to find the trails that led down to the bottom of the Quarry, but that’s ok. We didn’t need to talk to the owners……

“Nice property to get away from the hustle and bustle”

“Refrigerator in kitchen would not stay cold, spoiled food and milk soured over night. Lady bugs overwmed the inside of the house. Ceiling fan in living room has a short and light blinks all the time. Ceiling fan in pool table room would not come on. Most vacuums did not work or had broken plugs. Algae build up on rug by pool and hot tub was very slippery. Both coffee pots would not stay hot. General maintenance outside could definitely be improved kind of dirty and unappealing. “It was great! Excellent communication from host on what to expect. Everything was exactly as pictured. Secluded, quiet, nice area. It was the perfect getaway with our pets. ”

“Cabin was cozy, especially with a fire going.We had a great view of the stars and a meteor shower at night. Local recommendations for sights, food, gas, firewood, etc were spot on. Some of the cutlery/ utensils weren't completely clean (maybe from the previous guest) but we clean before using regardless. ”

“The place was very dirty, overpriced for the amount of things we had to bring ourselves (sheets & pillowcases for the beds) hot tub was nice until it turned green & had low water flow. I messaged the host and was responded to with “well if you would’ve told me earlier I could have had someone come fix it”. ”

“We will definitely be back. The privacy is top notch... which I love. Everything was nice and comfortable. The veiw was amazing. I love the stairs being carpeted, too. Beds are comfy, etc.The one and only thing I'd change would be the toilets as they're so short. Or put grab bars in, as you feel like you're sitting on the floor. (Tall woman problems) We are already planning our next trip here, we loved it that much. ”
