"Great location right by the sea. Perfect for exploring Berwick and Spitalfields or getting the train into Edinburgh. The room was clean and basic with a love;y view over the sea. Easy parking in front of the hotel and only a 10 min drive max to the train station. Easy to get down the coast to Holy Island and Bamburgh."

"Chose this pub as an overnight stay enroute to Scotland. We booked a table online for dinner as well. The room was excellent. Evening meal was superb as was the breakfast the following morning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Parking available close to the room. Would definitely stay again and would recommend."

"Nice clean room and very comfy bed. Had a skylight rather than a window so no view but great black-out blind. Shame about the miniature sink though, bad design! Nice to have a continental brekkie included. Very convenient for the station and town. Do try Coulls fish'n'chips, delicious, thanks for recommendation."

"The location was great, facing towards the city centre while the river is out the back. Breakfasts were delicious with various selections as were the dinners. We went to their cozy bar every evening before dinner. Mostly, I enjoyed the old world atmosphere, especially the lovely sitting room. The staff was very professional yet very friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and sizable. Loved the place!"
