「The outlook of the building does not really indicate is as a hotel. Lifts can be a little slow. However, the rooms are clean. The restaurant on the roof top offers a great view of Almaty city with the mountains around the city. 」

「We booked a one BR Apartment for a family of 4 including 2 kids (5 yo). The apartment and the bathroom was spacious and fully equipped. The sofa bed in the living room converted to a pull out bed (unfortunately it is the most uncomfortable bed for 2). The location of the hotel is excellent, with 2 minutes walk to the famous Arbat Street. There are plenty of supermarkets around, with a huge Magnum store just across the road in Lumier building. 」

「The receptionists are nice and helpful. Room is clean and tidy. I have a comfortable stay here. It closes to bus station but takes 15-20mins walk to train station. I would recommend it to others.」

「Very good location, close to bus stop to airport, to train station and city centre. The hotel is in a neighborhood, the room is very clean, good value for money.The staff is very helpful, I had the room in the morning when arrived. Good choice for short stay.」

「The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...
