"I stayed at this dreamy and wonderful estate with my husband and two teenage sons along with another family with three kids - all of us from San Diego, California. After six nights, we wished we could stay another week! Every morning, I went out to the balcony from my bedroom and had my morning coffee looking at the majestic lake. The kids played at the lake all day - we loved our private boathouse with diving board, and rowboat too! We also enjoyed the artist cottage and basketball court, and the big green lawn. The temperature of the lake was perfect for swimming! We grilled out on the bbq, and cooked several dinners at the house for our group in the lovely kitchen. The window filled sunroom was our favorite place to relax and look out at the water. The owners were so gracious and kind, welcoming us with a stocked refrigerator. We felt privileged to get to stay in their beautiful home that is designed so thoughtfully - even the dishes are authentic from the area. The location was simply amazing! We took easy day trips to Hallstatt and Salzburg, and it was just a few minutes to get into the darling Mondsee historic downtown. We also rented paddle boards right next door. I hope to return someday to this enchanting corner of the world and stay at this unforgettable house once again. "
