「What a beautiful little boutique hotel. The staff was unbelievably accommodating and friendly, even though they didn’t know very much English, we were able to communicate quite well. My only issue was there was a smell coming out of drain in the shower. But I don’t think that had anything to do with the hotels cleanliness just the sewer system in the area. 「The location and the setting was fabulous. Easy walk to beach and eateries. Breakfast was fantastic with lovely homemade bread. The actual rooms were a bit run down and stuffy. Bathrooms could do with a fix up as shower was next to toilet to after showering every time you used toilet you stood on puddles. The outdoor patio was good with good comfy seats. 」

I have never had such polite and helpful people at a resort. Any negative areas that this resort has is more than made up for in the quality of their employees. No hot water, toilet didn’t flush, and I had to ask for the room to be cleaned, which they interpreted as just make the bed. Staff was very rude. 「Ames is a quiet place, you sure can have a relaxation trip here. There are not much shops around, if you know how to ride a motorbike is much more convenient to travel around. The food in the hotel is good, you can join the gym at Griya which is free of charge! But you need to solve the transportation since the shuttle bus is not always available. The staff are helpful and friendly. We do enjoy the trip very much.」
