Perfect stay

We just finished 2 weeks at the cottage. It was great. Cottage is very large with all the amenities needed. Volleyball/ badminton court was fun. The hot tub was very clean and well maintained. We used it everyday. Fire pit was great fun. The river leads to a lake. It’s very easy to get to by kayak, the river in front of the cottage is quite shallow. It was perfect for our dog to play in but it’s not really navigable by kayak. It is however not hard to get push the kayak to the lake. There is a small store in Vendée that has most everything you could need including an SAQ all at very descent prices. If not, it’s about 35 minutes to Mont Tremblant or St Jovite. Jay the owner was very nice and answered all our questions very quickly. Overall, a great stay and I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a great space to hang out with family and friends.

Sitting on the river with a view of raw nature was perfect. The fireplace was utilized a lot. Lol. The stars and quiet at night makes this cottage wonderfully peaceful. The big windows gave us a great view of a mother and baby deer outside. My family and I had an amazing time and miss it already. Will definitely stay again.

Fantastic Property

Jays cottage is awesome. While the river is too shallow to swim, the dogs enjoyed running in off the little sandy beach and we all adventured down the stream. This house is on a huge piece of land, tons of room for my 3 year old to play frisbee and run around chasing the dogs. Comfy beds and tons of towels. Would definetly come back :). Thanks for hosting us!

C'était bien,on a profité du beau temps dans la rivière avec les enfants, du badminton,du foyer ext. ainsi que des promenades sur le lac.On a ramassé les pommes pour les donner aux chevreuils. Les mouches noires en pm. étaient un peu dérangeantes mais bon. Quelques crochets au premier et dans la ch. près de la salle de bain serait utile

Fantastic Stay!

This is a fully appointed house not a cottage! We had a wonderful 8 day stay here. The owner was very responsive to our questions. The property is fantastic. Our two Labradors loved the easy water access and spent 2+ hours/day swimming in the river chasing frisbees and sticks. The house itself has all the comforts of home and the outdoor hot tub was well used! Can’t recommend this property enough!! Loved seeing the deer that dropped by every early morning to eat the apples for breakfast too! Hoping to return next summer again.

Not happy with my stay.

The only positive thing about this location was the hot tub and the fire pit. Firewood not included, Very close to the road with lots of ATV traffic. Every morning I spend 30 minutes to clean the lawn from the duck poop. The kayaks are old and missing all the safety equipment, no life vests included. Some of the outside furniture is old and broken. The kitchen cook top is an antique. Door panels are broken on the cabinets. Most of the indoor furniture, I had hard time to sit on. It is very old and dirty. The master bedroom was nice, so was the other 2 rooms. Good for 4 adults plus the room with the bunk beds. I booked this place for 6 adults and 3 kids, Good thing, two of the adults could not make it, they would not have a comfortable place to sleep. The sleep sofas are only made for sitting not sleeping. There is few board games in the game room, outdoor volley ball court for games. I will not go back nor recommend this place to my friends.

Relaxing and spacious

A well equipped, nicely maintained property. We were 8 people and never felt cramped. The sound of the river while having morning coffee outside was very relaxing. Very comfortable beds, lots of blankets and pillows. It was also nice to not have to bring linens, towels, toilet paper...

Outstanding

Loved this place, great owner and property was fantastic. All you needed in a vacation, hot weather, Sandy volleyball court, clean lake, fireplace and hot tub. We will be back, tell your friends as they will not be disappointed

Bel endroit pour séjour familial

Le chalet est très bien équipé surtout la cuisine. Seul bémol, l'eau du robinet n'est pas potable et ce n'est pas indiqué sur l'annonce.Mais eau en bouteille disponible. Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Merci pour ce séjour!

Chalet parfait :)

Nous avons tous adoré le chalet. Nous étions 5 adultes et 4 enfants de 4 ans et tout était super. Nos questions ont été répondues dans un délai vraiment court!!! Le chalet est bien équipée, super lumineux et à un beau charme. Nous y retournerons c'est certain :)

Dépaysement

Un joli chalet en forêt au bord d'une petite rivière avec jacuzzi et foyer extérieur. Le tout joliment décoré de petites lumières pour le temps des fêtes. Nous y avons passé un très agréable séjour. Le propriétaire était disponible pour quoi que ce soit et cela a été très apprécié. Des petits détails, comme des veilleuses dans les pièces, le bois bien rangé près de la cheminée et de grands draps de bain, nous ont plu. L'agencement de la grand pièce à air ouverte au premier niveau, très lumineuse, avec en prolongement une vaste salle conviviale pour visionner de bons films ou jouer à des jeux de société est un grand plus. Nous avons aussi apprécié le paysage local et l'épicerie de Philippe Garnier avec son excellente viande. Une clientèle locale bien accueillante. Bref, je recommande ce chalet.

Superbe endroit, chalet très equipé et comfortable.

Le propriétaire flexible concernant heures d'arrivés/départs. Chalet accueillant, propre et bien équipé. Magnifique endroit près de l'eau. Possibilité de faire du canoé. Un atout BBQ extérieur ainsi qu'un foyer. Une très agréable fin de semaine.

Very spacious beautiful chalet

We had a wonderful week with our family in Jay’s beautiful clean chalet on the river. He responds to all messages and is very accommodating. Found everything we needed and grocery store and SAQ are only 20 mins away.
