Large Luxurious Girdwood Getaway with Game Room, New Hot Tub, & EV Charger

Girdwood is a small outdoor and skiing community located 30 miles south of Anchorage. Home of Mt. Alyeska and Alyeska Resort, Girdwood is the perfect place to spend your Alaskan getaway for skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hiking, and exploring south-central Alaska.

The Girdwood Valley Guest House is nestled in the trees with privacy, yet close enough to all amenities. The property is less than 1.5 miles to Girdwood Town Center and less than a mile to the Ski Day Lodge.

The house includes over 4,700 square feet of living area, along with multiple decks, hot tub, and EV charger. The large family room includes a large 4K Roku TV with Klipsch surround system, poker and pool tables, and a Bowflex adjustable weight bench set. There is a formal dining area, breakfast bar, wood stove, large custom kitchen with stainless appliances, three full baths, and a large laundry room. Each floor includes a Bluetooth TEAC / Curtis Mathes Vacuum Tube Stereo System. Beautiful original oil paintings throughout the house by Eugene Daymude, Charles Handford, Edmund Blouin, James Kendrick, Robert Rucker, and Collette Pope Heldner. As well, there is a garage large enough to park your vehicle and store outdoor gear. Enjoy the stellar views of the Girdwood Valley from the large windows in the living room, dining area, and from the deck.

House includes HD YouTube TV and best available Wi-Fi in Alaska (GCI RED).

The house is stocked with shampoos and conditioners, soaps, laundry detergent (Hypoallergenic Ecos), toilet paper, paper towels, condiments, dressings, popcorn, flour, sugar, cooking oils, vinegars, spices / seasonings, etc. The house has coffee stations in the basement and on the first floor that are stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, Truvia, Sweet 'N Low, and creamers.

Please note this is a residential neighborhood, loud parties are not allowed! As well, a maximum of the three cars at the house at one time and no parking in the street.

Snowboard trip

We stayed here for our annual snowboard trip and it was a great choice. The view of the mountains is beautiful and my wife absolutely loved the tub. Overall i was really happy with our stay.

Troop 5 Alaska exploration before summer camp

This home was everything we hoped for and more! It was gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and had more than enough space for our group of 12. The kitchen and bathroom amenities were incredibly convenient and made our stay so comfortable. The neighborhood in Girdwood was peaceful and beautiful, just minutes from the resort, yet felt wonderfully private. The home truly exceeded our expectations and ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Why stay anywhere else...

We have stayed at this property multiple times and have never been disappointed. The one time the property was booked during our dates, we stayed at another property, and we were not impressed. In the past, we have stayed here with our special needs daughter, who loves the space. So open, clean, and a great view to top it off.

Great Vacation Spot

We enjoyed a visit with a group of family members for a wedding in girdwood. The house had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for 12 adults to relax and enjoy the surrounding area and the views did not disappoint.

We love it here

Amazing House in Girdwood

Great location with EVERYTHING you could possibly need - lots of towels, all kitchen appliances & dishes, plenty of space for a large group to spread out. We enjoyed the views, the hot tub and the pool table.

Favorite place to stay in Girdwood

We've stayed here before. Somehow even nicer than last time. The new hot tub was great and there are even two more rooms now. Will be back for the ski season with friends, highly recommend. Great place for couples (us) and groups of friends (also us).

Bedrooms are good size, extra tables available to seat large family. Good amenities with pool table, second living room & hot tub for teens. Beautiful view of Chugach mountains! Road is steep, but passable w/ 4wheel drive.

Alyeska Ski Trip

House was everything we could ask for. Beds were as described and very comfortable. Hot tub is large and very nice (robes and towels provided near door). Good description of restaurant options. Because of road and inclines would not plan on walking to day lodge in ski boots but with a rental car VERY close.

We chose this property based on location, as it is just south of Anchorage, and closer to the Kenai, Seward area. The location felt isolated and remote, (desired) but was very convenient for our itinerary. The house was very clean and spacious. Highly recommend this property!

Four perfect and relaxing nights were had by our group of 11. More than enough space for everyone to stretch out and we all enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, and games that were provided. Our third trip to Girdwood
