This is my first experience renting an apartment instead of the hotel so I was a bit unsure of what to expect. But Salted Roots in Anchorage exceeded all my expectations. Building is nice and clean, parking is right outside. I booked 2 bedroom apt and it was very convenient with a living room and kitchen at the center and bedrooms on opposite sides. I couldn’t hear the other person from my room.
Kitchen is great with everything you might need to cook something excluding food of course.
Oh, and a coffee. They have coffee machine and a very good coffee! Which is very important if u ask me. Although building has a coffee shop downstairs I was just drinking the one they had in the kitchen. And Im very picky when it comes to coffee so theirs is really good. Trust me.
Beds are very comfy. Bathroom is ok. A bit tiny though and I didn’t like that the clothing cabinet is located in the bathroom. But since there’s no way to fit it into the room it’s understandable.
The main point is: if I’ll go to Alaska next time I’ll definitely consider Salted Roots apts as a place of stay. Especially since they are usually less expensive than hotels.
PS. The only thing I missed and wished I could have is ironing board and iron. I know Alaska is a very laid back place but I was there on a business trip, needed shirts, ties etc and I couldn’t iron one.
So please add it to the room!
