"Close to the cathedral and the Arch of Santa Maria. Also many bars within these areas for eating out or inside with pintxos dishes. Cathedral lit up at night so very good to sit outside with a beer and some pintxos. The hotel rooms are well equipped. The only problem is trying to check in. There is an area with is narrow outside the reception, but when my husband parked to check in, I stayed in the car and it appears to be a thoroughfare for other vehicles, so one fella tried to push through and was gesticulating for me to move, which I couldn't. Then another woman came and got out the car and spoke loudly in Spanish for me to move. I said I cannot understand, so she signalled for me to phone for my husband and move. Is this not an area for to check in, not sure?. I was annoyed with the problems I had while waiting to be checked in so they should have a particular area to park."

"Tout est bien, beau petit village historique mais je me suisfait briser la lunette arrière de ma voiture dans le stationnement réservé aux clients de l'hôtel qui setrouve derrière l'hôtel, Les employés ont eux-mêmes appelés les policiers. Ils m'ont donné par la suite accès à un stationnement intérieur securitaire gratuitement. J'ai cependant dû me rendre à un poste de police le lendemain pour faire une déposition. Et j'ai dû changer de véhicule avec la compagnie de location, ce qui m'a fait perdre une demi-journée de vacances."

"Lovely parador and location. Friendly efficient reception staff. Unfortunate interaction with one member of staff at the bar who seemed unwilling to engage with people would could not speak Spanish."

"As we was staying the night on our way to st malo we used ibis as a stop off hotel we found the hotel clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast was good loads to choose from and cheap rooms well maintained and clean"

"We landed at this hotel after our VRBO fell out (confirmed reservation from VRBO, host said they rejected as full so we had to scramble). Very clean and well appointed. Price was a bit high due to the eclipse but VRBO covered the difference so it didnt matter much to us. The one challenge is that you'll def need wifi or phone service to check in (my french service wasnt cooperating). Great location and beautiful old building. Recommended!"
