Mid-Century Beach shack, just a 15-minute walk to the Main Beach and main shops.
‘Saltbush’ is a Mid-Century Modern beach shack, typical of Anglesea in the 1950s, but with the modern conveniences of the 21st Century!
The property is ideally located, just a 10-minute walk to the town shops, Coogoorah Park, and the river. It is a leisurely 15-minute stroll along the river to Anglesea Main Beach. Family-friendly Point Roadknight beach is only a 7-minute drive away or a 40-minute stroll along the beach when the tide is out.
The shack is newly extended and renovated, offering accommodation for 8 people across 3 bedrooms, and a sofa bed in the sunroom/office. New carpet has been laid in each bedroom, and they all have Smart TVs. The front bedroom's new en-suite is beautifully appointed with a separate bathtub and shower, while the second bathroom is modern and clean. The third toilet in the laundry can be accessed from inside and outside the house for convenience. The property has two outdoor showers, with hot and cold running water, which is very handy when the mob returns from the beach.
Small pets are most welcome. The property is secured by new fencing around the entire perimeter.
The living and dining areas are spacious, with sliding doors opening directly onto decks at the front and rear of the property. A newly built Alfresco area looks over beautiful gardens, ideal for outdoor BBQing and dining with family and friends. The kitchen is modern, with new appliances, including a dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. There is another small fridge in the laundry and an additional fridge in the garage.
The whole family will love the table tennis table in the garage, while board games are located in the TV cabinet in the living room.
The bed linen, bath towels, and tea towels are supplied, but you'll need to bring your beach towels.
This holiday house is ideally located within the very quiet and peaceful Golden Mile of Anglesea. It is only a short walk to the shops, river, and main beach. It is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, especially birds such as Cockatoos, Kookaburras, Parrots, and Wrens. It is not unusual to experience Kangaroos feeding on the front lawn early in the morning. It is easy enough to walk to the main beach, town centre for shops, and the river; however, a car is desirable to travel to neighboring towns and beaches and attractions further afield, although a public bus does service the Great Ocean Rd.
