Riverview Cottage on Green Gables Shore

  • A private (Tourism PEI license #2203251), waterfront, chalet-style cottage with expansive deck and sunset views, stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay; located in a charming cottage area near Barachois Beach. Very close to the seaside village of North Rustico, and only a 3-minute drive to one of the most famous island lobster feasts. Ideally located to give you access to all of the island's offerings while maintaining privacy in a very peaceful setting. Only 25 minutes drive from downtown Charlottetown. It's the best of both worlds. Interior and exterior updates done in 2020-21. Inspected and approved annually by Tourism PEI.

Both the cottage and location were fantastic. Amazing sunset views and so serene. Our host had lots of helpful information and was easy to reach for questions. Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful little oasis. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful little cottage. It is just the right amount of space and has everything you need. It is perfectly located and we felt close to everything. This was especially important travelling with an 11 month old. There are lots of homey touches throughout and it is clear the cottage is well loved and taken care of. The guestbook is a very sweet touch and we loved reading everyone’s entries. We even got to know the neighbours during our stay. Through and through, a throughly wonderful stay.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our stay! The cottage was clean and well kept with lots of amenities there for an enjoyable stay. Views were great, sitting on the deck watching the water was quiet, there was lots of space for our kids to run around, close to beaches and Charlottetown, the host is quick to respond and genuinely wants you to have a great stay, etc. This will be our first choice whenever we come back to PEI!

It is a perfect size and location for a vacation. Central to all the fun outings and wonderful beach. The beds were very comfortable. The peacefulness and quiet was so lovely. I will recommend this place to anybody.

Relaxing stay

The cottage was great, clean and well equipped - was quite private and great to come back to after exploring the busier towns and beaches - great for walks, biking kayaking - would definitely recommend as a convenient yet private location to explore much of the island

Beautiful and Serene

We found Riverview cottage to be a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. The home is very comfortable. We enjoyed the close access to beaches, restaraunts, and entertainment. The peaceful and quiet setting also provided much rest and relaxation.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage, overlooking the water. Everything is provided for a perfect holiday. We enjoyed it all : the kayaks, the bicycles, the local beaches and gorgeous sunsets on the back deck. Great communication with the host. We will be back!”

Great place!

Our family enjoyed this cottage for our week on PEI. We enjoyed the deck for outdoor eating and sunset evenings. The cottage was cozy and homey as listed. The PEI artwork was a great touch. The neighborhood is a private street with few neighbors for a quiet and peaceful getaway.

Perfect location for exploring PEI

Geraldine’s lovely cottage was perfect in every way. The cottage was on a quiet street directly overlooking Rustico bay. The view was magnificent and the cottage’s central location was perfect exploring PEI. The cottage was nicely appointed and easy to stay and relax in. I will miss the sunsets!

Comfortable, well-maintained, central vacation home

We loved our weeklong stay in Anglo Rustico, touring a number of beaches, walking/running in and around the National Park, checking out local grocery stores and restaurants. The cottage was a cozy, clean, well equipped and located stay for us. Big yard, beautiful view and large deck. Geraldine was very communicated and hospitable. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful setting

Superb location: beautiful shoreside views from patio & master bedroom deck topped off by a family of bald eagles nesting in the backyard trees (amazing!). Wonderful, not-at-all crowded beach (all sand & not a single sharp rock or shell in or outside the water!) that is a v easy walk from the house. Multiple excellent restaurants/fish markets/bakery/coffee shop within a 15 minute drive of the house in multiple directions; & national park with beautiful (though more crowded) beaches a 30 minute drive away. The house was very clean & comfortable for our family of four & enjoys a shoreside breeze that keeps it cool even on hot days & the owner provides nice amenities (3 bikes, 2 kayaks, board games, TV with “guest” Netflix account, etc) for indoor & outdoor recreation. The main town was more of a distance (35-min drive to the charming downtown neighborhood) & features many excellent restaurants, but we were seeking seclusion, scenery & relaxation and so were happy to not go into town more than 3-4 times in our 9-day stay anyway. Checkout procedure is extraordinarily detailed & somewhat onerous compared to other places we’ve stayed (wash all sheets & towels, make all beds, ensure all light bulbs are working, etc) as owners usually have a cleaning service in between renters and also because a broken dryer made it impossible to get everything done by the 10am checkout time, but that was a minor annoyance in an otherwise PERFECT stay.

Havre de paix!

Près de tout (épicerie, restos, terrains de golf), mais loin de tout (routes, bruits, achalandage). L’endroit, très tranquille, est parfait pour relaxer avec, en plus, vue sur l’eau! Maison parfaite pour deux couples : chambre et salle de bain au 1er étage, ainsi qu’au 2 e étage, en plus d’une autre chambre au 2e).L’hôte, Géraldine, est très accessible et répond rapidement à nos questions. Il ne manque de rien dans la maison. Un havre de paix… pour adultes!

We had a wonderful week on this beautiful island! The cottage was comfy, clean, well-equipped and is in a great location. It was also so nice to sit on the deck and watch the sunsets after a day of sightseeing! Highly recommend!!!

a lovely stay

We had a lovely stay here. The location was perfect, there was so much to do within just a 30 minute drive to get a real feel for PEI and enjoy some truly amazing food. We stayed with our 3 children (4, 6, 8yo). The cottage was cozy and quaint. The 2 upstairs bedrooms suited our 3 children perfectly while we used the main floor bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked for its small size. The living room space was awesome, and hosted many cozy family movie and game nights. We loved watching the sunsets, and made use of the kayaks and yard games that were available. A lovely place overall for exploring PEI!
