Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Positive points: breakfast included (wasn't amazing but nice to have if you're more budget-minded); relatively sheltered from the restaurant/club noise from the nearest street; excellent central location; the room and hotel itself were very clean and well looked after.
Negative points: randomly one afternoon the shower stopped working; the walls are pretty thin so if your neighbours are talking on the phone etc. then you will definitely hear them; the room had a faint (but noticeable) smell of cigarettes, although I admit this isn't uncommon in Turkey; the wi-fi was *very* intermittent - clearly not able to handle a high number of simultaneous connections.
Overall I would probably try a different hotel if I visited Ankara again, but if all you're after is a basic place to stay and don't plan on spending much time at the hotel, the Bukaviyye is perfectly adequate.
