Views were unbelievable. Perfect seat for sunset every night. Pool and tub were bonuses we took advantage of. The kitchen is small and cookware limited. If you don’t plan on cooking a lot then not a problem. Easily walkable to food, bars, and restaurants.

This house is great! Tons of room to spread out and a nice pool. Right on the beach. There are tons of stairs everywhere so be advised on that. Excellent vacation!

Big Yellow House

Highlights of the property: location & the beautiful views. Steps to the Gulf. Negative: The place needs a major cleaning. Two inches of dust on all blinds & ceiling fans. The biggest complaint I would share are the roaches crawling on the kitchen walls and floors. The front door was broken, couldn't lock when we went out, two sliding doors were broken. The kitchen refrigerator needs to be replaced. Did not keep our food cold. Garbage disposal didn't work and had a bad odor. Light bulbs missing from sockets. I contacted the rental company, that I must was was very attentive, but who wants all kinds of working men tramping around fixing everything while we are trying to enjoy ourselves. We were given a $100.00 gift card for Publix, but again after spending the money we did on this property I would think it would have been in better condition. Clothes from previous guests were still in bedroom drawers and items were found under all the dusty furniture. Mold is growing in all the showers. I went out and bought a bottke of bleach cleaner before using the showers.

Yellow House on the. Beach

The Yellow House on the beach was nice in accommodating our family. The rooms were nice and overall space in house allowed everyone to have their privacy too while meeting in the main kitchen areas for dining. Just a few items to be improved upon. The kitchen knives were old and.terrible, Any attempt to slice up a watermelon or anything, really dangerous. Pans, need to be replaced. Functional, but old. When renting a house for a family, I would expect to have dish soap larger than a 2.5 ounce bottle. Also, we had to purchase extra paper towels & toilet paper for a house that supports 8 adults and 2 children. Really, when renting for a “family” provide such things at a reasonable scale to renter ratio. It seemed the house was stocked for a family of four, however, listed to sleep way more. The decks, lower level and upstairs are worn and have rotted boards that need to be replaced. You really couldn’t use those areas for the family. Because the umbrella on the lower lever was torn, table had splinters and again, the floor boards need replacing. The chairs on the lower deck, had some issues as well. One was missing the base to sit, Besides, no umbrella to offer ANY shade existed. Upstairs deck the floor and railing needs to be replaced - I understand the sand and sun damage has caused such issues with these areas, but if your renting and expect to utilize that space for a family to “hang out” renters need not be concerned with rotting wood. I think most of us stubbed toes because of the uneven rotted boards. Pool/ocean toys,. When you rent a beach house, you would expect to have chairs and umbrellas to take to beach. None are provided. I have stayed at condos in AMI where such basic things for a “beach rental” were provided. Other toys, were available. We did up purchase a few beach items and left them there for others to enjoy on us. Wireless,. The wireless didn’t work. We contacted the management company who contacted Spectrum. We arrived Saturday and Spectrum arrived at the house on Tuesday to find a router issue. Which was replaced the next day. When renting, confirm working. The house is on an amazing location, nice and fits a family to enjoy AMI on the beach. Please take the above feedback to heart and keep this place prestige for future visitors. I’ve been visiting AMI for over 10 years and this was our first time we took the family there and hope to be back again. Thank you.

There were a few minor things like the door to the pool from the house didn’t work, headboard to the master bed wasn’t attached, but overall it was awesome. When a random shower would come through, the convenience of a covered pool and hot tub was fantastic. Plenty of space for the 11 of us. We would absolutely come back again!

Incredible Gulf Front Big Yellow House

The Big Yellow House had amazing views of the Gulf. The sunsets were incredible from the decks or beach. The pool was a bonus. Located near the northern tip of Anna Maria, we walked to the northern point every morning! We found some great shells and intact sand dollars on our walks. The house is also located on Pine Street, the main street of commerce on Anna Maria, so we could walk to many shops and restaurants. On the downside, the house needed a bit of a "spring cleaning" from being a rental machine, but the views and overall stay made up for that and the house still deserves 5 stars. Would definitely book this house again!

Great location on beach and near main part of town. Front deck and covered pool area were great and used often. Previous user didn't do good job cleaning the glasses, silverware, etc. It was easier to rewash then call the agent. House is cozy but dated. Would have happily paid more if it was updated.

Worth the off season rate

I’m glad I got this property at the discounted rate. Although the view is perfect, it’s not worth the full price they ask. The place needs some sprucing up. The walls are dirty and the paint is chipping, the throw rugs are dirty, some bathrooms have mold and the dishes in the cabinet still had food on them. I took into consideration that it’s literally on a beach so it’s hard to stay clean but with some sprucing up it would be perfect. It’s definitely spacious and worth the view. The check in checkout was convenient. Overall I would stay again but not at the full asking price.

Unacceptable termite infestation

We rent this property (104 Pine Avenue, Anna Maria, Florida) through VRBO on June 12th until June 16th. When we arrived at this property the house wasn't clean. We found tomato inside de microwave, mold over the showers and many dirty spaces. When we woke up next morning (today June 13th) at 6:00 am we discovered the master bedroom was infected by termites. There were termites running all over the king bed, all over our bodies and inside the bathroom. We contact Anna Maria Vacation rentals by phone and after 3 hours they offer us one property which was not on the beach and it looks very old, too. We had to left the property and we lost our family holiday.

Big yellow house

The location of this house is ideal. The location right on the beach was very convenient. There were 14 of us and we all fit comfortably. Only problem was the house could have had more basic supplies like salt and pepper and oil and vinegar. Plus the deck really needs replacement and a sun awning. The kids loved the little pool as it was a shady place to relax. Loved the house!

Best Location you could ask for

This house is a bit dated and could use some upgrades but the location can't be beat. You can sit in the living room and see the beach and your family there as well. A few issues we had with the house: The upstairs living area can only be accessed by a spiral staircase; not ideal for small children. The downstairs refrigerator needs to be replaced. After placing a service call we figured out that you have to firmly make sure the doors shut every time you use it to keep it cold and it never really gets to temp. Also all 3 of the drawers were broken in some fashion. The back deck is great but has some boards that need replacing as they are a trip hazard - also the umbrella for the table was bent in the middle and unusable. There were some loose bricks laying around the pool area which again, for adults is not that big of a deal, but with smaller children it is a hazard - there was a hole in the corner where some of the bricks were. We arrived at 4pm as instructed but the cleaning crew was still there cleaning. They allowed us to enter anyway but I could tell that the cleaning was a bit rushed. The WIFI works but goes out REGULARLY. At least twice per day we had to unplug and reset the router. The TVs are also dated - would recommend providing instructions for how to use them - the upstairs TV had like 7 remotes. Also some of those remotes were missing the backs, buttons weren't working, and some were even missing batteries. We had lots of rainy days so unfortunately we were stuck inside a bit. :) Every single bathroom had at least one light blown out - easy replacement. Lastly, and my biggest concern, was the main door to the house. It would not lock and if not blocked, it would blow open on its own. Multiple times we came back to the house to find the door wide open so we had to stage a case of water out in front of the door in order to make sure the small children didn't go outside of the home. Overall we had a GREAT trip - loved the layout that very well worked for 2 families traveling together, but just not ideal for small children. The location honestly could not be beat and i would definitely rent this house again, but think that with the amount it cost, some of these small improvements should be made for future guests. I did call about the door issue and was told someone would come out but nobody ever did. I tried to call again multiple times but there was poor cell service so I eventually gave up. :)

Overall this was a wonderful property. The closeness to beach/water, restaurants, things to do was great. However, there were several things that should be addressed for a property of this pricing; The locks were hard to use (especially the front door, they did send someone out, but it didnt solve the issue), the wood deck is in bad shape (two people tripped on boards, no injury) and I woke up to flying ants in my bed & on me, fortunately there was another bedroom for us to use. They were suppose to send someone out to take care of this issue, Im not sure if they did or not, NO CALL. Again, for the price... The sunset view from the upper deck is spectacular : )

One of the best view on the island

Large house with space for 2 groups. Our son and friends stayed in downstairs original house and my wife and I stayed upstairs. We were able to work and sleep without being disturbed by our younger guests. 2 kitchen areas, but no stove / oven upstairs, only electric hot plate. Appliances, cooking utensils, and all TVs need updating. If you are at beach and outside all day, not a big deal. But we had cool weather and that resulted in more indoor time. I suggest new kitchen furnishings and stove upstairs. Overall, we loved the view and location, but disappointed in furnishings. JP
