"A really great boutique hotel to relax in. The grounds of the hotel are immaculately maintained and the rooms are luxurious and spacious. The staff are so friendly and polite and make your stay easy. You need a car or taxis if you want to venture out. But the hotel is perfect to completely switch off from the outside world. The restaurant setting overlooks the beach and is lovely. Dinners are a little formal but tasty. Thank you so much to all the Sea diamond staff especially Diana, Enzo and the restaurant team, as well as the charming GM. We loved meeting you all and making our stay so special! "
"I was in Mauritius for work and booked this hotel an hour before I checked in without really researching it at all. It was superb.
I stayed for 2 nights all-inc. The staff were lovely - polite but also fun to talk to. I had an amazing massage in the spa (by Cedric). I took a hobbie cat out and spent a morning zipping up and down the bay (though got told off for staying out too long!!!). Meals were decent for the price, though two nights didn’t qualify me for the a la carte restaurants, the buffet was fine. I really liked the bar and the huge selection of cocktails.
The room was spot on. It had a fan so you don’t always have to use the air con, the tuck shop concept was great (you go to the counter and they just give you what you want with soft drinks, beers, tea, ground coffee, milk etc). There are a few feline staff members and one liked to snooze on my balcony - never tried to come in the room though. Excellent wifi throughout the resort, even on the beach. If you stay after check out time you can book showers. "
"The Red Roof House, as we called it, in Cap Malhereux was the first of several booked for a few weeks in Mauritius. Farita, the maid who greeted us on our first day, was lovely and showed us through the property. She and her daughter took care of the house during our stay. We were also lucky enough to have her cook us some fabulous Mauritian dishes. So flavoursome and most welcome after a long day.The house is as described, spacious and quite well equipped. Security was thorough, with alarms, grills, and locks on gates. The pool and garden were well maintained and were a welcome respite, especially on warm evenings, and especially as the beach is not really a swimming beach. Go to Perybere for this, which is just a short drive away. Some basics would have been appreciated, like tea and coffee, oil, vinegar, and a few herbs and spices for cooking. More toilet paper was needed for our week-long stay. Unfortunately, the shower drainage in one of the rooms needed attention, as it didn't drain properly, but no doubt will get repaired, as the house is well-maintained.We would recommend anyone to stay here. It's spacious, comfortable, and the rear terrace and pool are standout features."
