When it's time for a break you can enjoy stunning views of Antigua's three volcanoes from the shared terrace, or relax at one of the bistro tables on the shared patio downstairs. If you want to head into town, you only have to walk about 7 minutes to find a tuk tuk if you don't want to walk all the way.
The property has four studios downstairs and one apartment upstairs. This unit shares a wall with Studio One. The walls are made of cinder block and are very thick to keep noise to a minimum. Because it has its own entrance to the street you will hear some noise at times. The tiny neighborhood is mostly made up of families with children, so you will likely hear parents taking their kids to school or hopping on their motos to go to work around 7:00 am. It's very peaceful during the day, and you will hear the happy noise of children playing in the afternoons. After 9:00 pm on weekdays it's usually silent.
That said, this is Guatemala. There is always the chance of a vendor walking by yelling at the top of his lungs to sell something or kids lighting off firecrackers. Speaking of which, firecrackers and fireworks are very popular here, especially during holidays, so don't expect to sleep much on Christmas or New Year's eve.
This place is also great for a couple who don't mind sharing a double bed. It would be challenging for both of you to work from the studio however. There is an adjustable TV tray that can be placed on the sofa and used as a standing desk, but the studio is a single room so there is no separate work area.
You'll find a washer and dryer at the back of the shared patio that are free to use for all guests. There is no parking. Dogs, but not cats, are allowed. All windows are screened.
