This place is ideal for quiet holidays with family or friends.

Located at the north coast of Crete, close to the small sea-side resort of Georgioupolis, between Chania and Rethymno, 500 m from a long sand beach and 2 km from the Kournas Lake, this recent house (2007), has lovely view to the Leuka Ori mountains and to the Aegean sea.

Georgioupolis' Beach (within walking distance) is a 9 km long sand beach which offers wide-open spaces. It is an uncrowded beach, even in the summer time ! All along the beach, you can find snacks and tavernas which offer not only cheap and good local food but also a lot of (most of the time) free services such as sun beds, umbrellas, WC, showers, play grounds, etc.

The Kournas Lake is the only sweet water lake in Crete. In this beautiful area you can observe the turtles, rent a pedal-boat, swim or enjoy the local food in one of the tavernas with a spectacular view on the lake.

The village of Georgioupolis is located 2 km west. It is a small sea-side resort characterized by its small charming fishing port, its river and its eucalyptus trees. There, you will find small shops, small supermarkets, small hotels, bars, tavernas, pizzerias, etc. In spite of tourism, the village kept its old charm and its authenticity.

The village of Kavros is located 1,5 km east. Big seafront hotels are predominant but you can also find small shops, supermarkets, bars, tavernas, pizzerias, etc.

The place will delight guests looking for quiet seaside holidays, walks or bicycle rides in the cretan country (through the olive trees) and mountain.
