Such a small & cute apartment hotel in the heart of peaceful Kalives! Place to enjoy Cretan hospitality and to feel atmosphere of original Cretan daily living. Definitely will come back here and warm recommendation for the accommodation :)

Relaxing Stay
The individuals at this hotel are amazing! My stay with my family was I credible. The beach is within walking distance, and there are multiple options for food. There is a Super Market just down the street for snacks and anything you need. Balcony with table facing the ocean! Parking available in spots in front of hotel or and the street.

L'accueil sympathique et le professionnalisme de Sofia ne sont pas en cause. Mais le descriptif annoncé sur le site Expedia ne correspond PAS à la réalité : hébergement à 800m du village (et non à côté du parking de la plage comme localisé sur la carte), appartement de 28m2 au lieu des 40 m2 annoncés, 1 lit double et 1 lit enfant (au lieu de 3 lits canapé annoncé) et enfin au bord d'une route très passante, donc boules Quiès obligatoire et fenêtre fermée la nuit. C'est la (première et) la dernière fois que je réserve un hébergement avec Expédia.

Es ist ein schönes Apartment, mit tollem Blick auf die Soudabucht, die Besitzerin war sehr freundlich. Das einzige Problem war die raumtemperatur. die zimmer wurden trotz dauerhaft laufenden Klimaanlage nicht warm.genug. Zum Glück wurde ich nicht krank.
Die Unterkunft ist im Sommer sehr zu empfehlen, im Winter nicht.

Clean and good location.
Sophia’s very welcoming and helpful during our time at Kalyves Bay, the apartment was larger than we expected and was very clean. The apartment is located between two beaches at the top end of the village but it’s easy walking which helped to keep us fit after the delicious food in the local tavernas.

Worth a visit......
A thoroughly enjoyable stay, in a great village with many amenities. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable and with amazing sea views over the bay and a short drive to Chania town and picturesque villages. We would highly recomment it.

Nice hotel close to the beach
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again . The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean and we had 2 balconies. It was a pleasant walk to the town center and the beaches

Très bon souvenir
2 nuits dans cet hôtel avec 2 couples d'amis. Jolie vue sur la mer. Accueil très agréable. De quoi se faire le petit déjeuner. Wifi dans les parties communes et chambre du bas.

So relaxing
This hotel in Kalyves Bay is near Chania but it is in a relaxing area so you have all you need very close in a fantastic place. The apartament in the hotel was very nice and the beach is 5 minutes far from it. We stayed there for one week and we really felt at home

The apt. is located on a quieter part of Kalyves one block off the water. There is a great view from the balcony. It is in close proximity to mini markets and a large supermarket and bakery. Suitable for couples and self catering for families. All of the amenities were in good working order and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It would be advisable to have a car to explore the surrounding area and various beaches nearby.

Relaxing night at Kalyves Bay
We stayed for one night before our journey back home to Copenhagen. Sofia was waiting to welcome us when we arrived and was very helpful. The place had a nice view of the water and was absolutely spotless! The room felt airy and there was an equipped kitchen too. The only thing to improve would be the air conditioning unit, which was in the kitchen where one entered but this cool air didn't really blow into the bedroom.

Dejlig hoteloplevelse i Kalives
Kalives er en skøn lille by lidt øst for en af Kretas hovedbyer, Chania. Kalives, hvor vi nu er for andet år i træk i juli måned, er indbefattet alt det, vi har eftersøgt ift. at afholde en afslappende ferie i Grækenland. Byen er karakteriseret ved at have en græsk atmosfære, den er hyggelig, overkommelig - og ikke mindst autentisk. Fra vores altan på Kalyves Bay, bliver man slået af den fantastisk udsigt ud over bugten. Samtidig er der er rig mulighed for at følge med i 'det daglige liv' på den lille hovedgade. Dette uanset om det er at nyde 'de gamle', der ser ud til at få en hyggelig sludder foran husene, eller når fiskebilen kører forbi flere gange dagligt med sin opmuntring til at købe friske fisk. Kalives har også et skønt lille torv og en dejlig strand med tilhørende små hyggelige tavernaer. For få penge kan du gå ud og spise, hvor der diskes op med kulinariske græske specialiteter. De mange små retter (Mezes) er en fast bestanddel af de lokale menukort.

Great service, tidy rooms
We stayed at Kalives Bay hotel in the beginning of June, 2 adults, 2 kids (7 and 9). The lady at reception was extremely friendly, her English wasn't that good though. There were other similar hotels in the neighbourhood. The centre of Kalives is around one kilometre away. A good bakery 500m and supermarket 300m. There is a really nice restaurant by the sea shore, the first one when you take the seaside street towards Kalives centre. The best beaches are on the other side of Kalives, extremely suitable for kids!

Dejlig 2 værelses lejlighed. Var lidt svært at finde da koordinaterne fra Hotels ikke passede og i Grækenland bruger man ikke altid vejnavne og nummer
