Nearby there are world-famous hiking routes, including the Ben Nevis summit trail; The Caledonia Way national cycle route passes by the door which links Inverness to Kintyre; and there are winter sports to enjoy and try at the Glencoe Ski Centre and Indoor Ice Climbing Centre in Kinlochleven. There’s also a hidden gem of a golf course only five miles away at Dragon’s Tooth Golf Club, as well as horse riding a few miles south and fishing both out to sea a short walk away and at local lochs for trout.

Fort William and Oban are short drives away and offer many restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and things to do. Oban is also useful to use the ferry terminal if you were interested in visiting some of the closer islands, or you were continuing your Highland journey after your stay. There’s an endless list of things to do and places to see near Invernahyle Cottage.
