Our USA visitor was also really excited to see the sheep and enjoy the view from the Sunrise unit. A great overnight stay."

"Had arrived late in Waitomo, friendly greeting by hosts whom were very accommodating showing the suite and property grounds should I wish to take evening stroll. Was an early start next morning but super easy to check out after wonderful nights sleep. Would definitely stay again if in area very central to all the activities. Thank you"

"Amazing how they were able to equip the train carriage with modern amenities while retaining the original charm. Bath was an add on unit with full fixtures but integrated with the train. Good AC and heating options and nice kitchenette. Check out the fabulous Hobbit and ferrry boat options."

"This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. Opening the windows and leaving them open helped as well. It was spacious and well able to accomodate 5 adults. The water was lovely to shower in and great for drinking. The location was just a few minutes down the road from the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, which was perfect. Would come again. "
