“Melanie and Ericka were both very responsive and helpful navigating this property. The view of Arenal Volcano was spectacular and worth the winding, bumpy roads to get there. The accommodation was beautiful. We had wished to spend more time on the deck (our favorite lounging spot) and rooftop patio, but the weather wasn't very cooperative. “Jose was a very welcoming host and great communicator throughout the booking process and our stay at his beautiful property. Words cannot describe and pictures can't capture the amazing views from this home. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but restaurants and markets were nearby. We booked a short stay to visit Monteverde Cloud Forest, but wish we had an extra night to explore and enjoy the area around this property. “We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received.
