The hotel is the second president of Peru resident the garden is lush. The building is beautiful. The rooms were spectacular. The only issue I had was there was no parking.

Nice Hotel, People and View!

The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets, with a view of the nice garden! The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a couple of options! The staff were attentive and provided excellent service. I felt very comfortable there!

My family and I intended to stay at Casona Solar for one evening but ended up staying almost a full week! The staff and owners were very accommodating with our last minute changes and super helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations. We will definitely return on our next trip to Arequipa!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The property is a former mansion that once belonged to a Peruvian president who served from 1899 to 1903. He purchased it during that time and lived here after his term ended. Staying here feels like being part of history, and the rooms are beautifully designed with high ceilings. If you enjoy historical buildings like I do, you will definitely appreciate it. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was spotless, and the location was convenient. I’m glad I chose this place instead of a traditional hotel.

Tranquil haven in Arequipa

A converted historical house with two courtyards, one with a garden and one with a fountain. I found a warm welcome here and the staff were very accommodating; a packed breakfast was offered straight away when I said I would be leaving for a tour at 3am. Some might find the rooms a little dingy if spending a lot of time in them: the ground floor rooms in the garden courtyard are really lower-ground floor with no windows. This makes them warmer in winter and cooler in summer (there is no air con). My suggestion- get out and explore Arequipa or sit in the delightful courtyard.

HABITACION SIN VENTILACIÓN

Las habitaciones no tienen ventilación y me generó tos. El personal es muy amable. Queda en una zona del centro que no se siente seguro caminar en la noche. El destino es delicioso y el patio es muy bonito, pero las habitacion no me pareció nada agradable. Me parece que el precio está mucho más elevado por lo que se ofrece.

Ottima posizione e bella struttura, proprietario accogliente e disponibile. Le uniche pecche sono state il cattivo odore in bagno e la scortesia della signora alla reception. Avendo visto che dietro al giardino c’erano asciugamani stesi ho chiesto al personale se potevo stendere li il bucato e mi è stato detto di sì, peccato che al mio rientro nel pomeriggio sono stata ripresa in malo modo per questo dalla signora alla reception.

Super clean.

Great location, safe and a few blocks from the center. Really beautiful restored building. Breakfast was yummm with plenty of free coffee refills. Tea was always available. They are very covid conscious and you have to wash your hands when you get inside the hotel and spray the bottom of your feet. Super clean.

Great hotel in the center of Arequipa in a historic building. Service was brilliant and the staff was really helpful with reservations and local tips. The room was clean and the hotel has a lovely garden to relax. Would definitive book here again when I revisit Arequipa
