“The room was nice but the hallways were gross. There was food on the floor in the hallway when we got there and it was still there the next morning.”

“The staff at check in were nice and the process was easy. When I got into the room it smelled like urine. I left the window open for my entire stay (3 Nights) and it didn't go away. Also, there was no room service for my 3 nights and there were only 2 bath towels in the room. There was plenty of parking and is in a good location.”

“The building seemed to have been recently renovated and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Since the well had just been replaced and was awaiting testing, we were asked to not drink the tap water. They supplied us with water bottles to compensate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the outside lights by the door were very bright and stayed on all night. Even with the room darkening curtains closed, the room did not get dark enough for my liking. “Weird layout of the building . Had to walk through multiple doors to get to our room. You have to pay for breakfast. Which we didn’t get to eat because the restaurant was closed due to staff shortage. And there’s not other food options in the area.”

“Got their after hours and was surprised that they had made arrangements to get my room. It was simple and very convenient. Some what secluded and quiet... if you gonna get their after 9pmyou may want to get food or gas before you arrive as I didn't see anything around. They do have a restaurant on premise but they were close when we got their and we left very early.”

“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left……
