Amazing Farm House
Fun and clean spacious family farm house! Peri was an amazing host! Responded right away and was amazing with the kiddos. She let us know when the feeding time was for the animals which the kids looked forward to everyday to help feed and interact with them. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Beautiful showers and tub! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to cook. We were here for the weekend for my moms birthday and would def be back. This is def the place for a family vaca. Close to oceano beach ( sand dunes), Pismo beach and San Luis Obispo

Wonderful family get-together at Zen Farms!
We had a such a fun family reunion at Zen Farms! It was easy to coordinate and a big property so everyone had room to relax. The house had plenty of room with a pool table, large kitchen for cooking and an outside bbq. The backyard allowed us to set up our cornhole and the kids could run around. Peri was awesome and checked our schedule to make sure the kids could feed the animals with her (which they loved). We will definitely be back next year!

Great Get a Way!
We had a quick weekend away for the family and the location was perfect. The host, Peri, was extremely accommodating and worked to make it a great weekend for us. The house and property is set up perfect for a large family of all ages. Considering that the property sits on a farm, we were surprised at how clean it was...the true test was the baby crawling on the floor and still having clean clothes! Peri was so great with the kids and let them feed the animals and spent the time to teach the kids about the animals as well. The downstairs seems to be designed for a large group with lots of open space and large game room. The kitchen is very well stocked and there wasn't a single appliance that we couldn't find. It is so nice not have to bring basic things with you. There is a fruit stand just a few minutes away with lots of great fruit which we picked up on the way. We would recommend this property and add it to the list for a future visit.

What a fun place to stay! Big enough for the whole family. Beautiful setting with a mini Orchard, the little farm was a big hit with my five and nine-year-old nieces. The pool room was great. We enjoyed that as well lots of common spaces for socializing and a short walk from our families home in Cypress Ridge. The hosts were amazing, making time to show the kids the animals and we enjoyed socializing in the evening. Can’t recommend this house enough. Probably shouldn’t have written this review cause we might get booked over in the future…

The BEST family reunion EVER!
This was a fantastic location for our family reunion! The owner spent hours with the children (age 3-6 years), teaching them about the animals and giving the girls hands-on experience caring for them. The property owner kept in touch via text, letting us know when she would be out with the animals so that we could be sure the girls were around to "help out". It is a beautiful, large home with multiple areas for groups to gather - indoors and out. The kitchen was great for preparing meals for our large group. Parking was just outside the door. Overall, a fantastic location!

We enjoyed a weekend at the Zen Farm with three families (6 adults, 5kids, ages 2-9 and 1 pup) The kids absolutely loved the farm. Peri was sure to message me each morning and evening because she knew the kids were eager to help tend to the animals. We had space for everyone. There are 3 twin beds down stairs in the game room, but we ended up putting mattresses on the floor in each of the upstairs bedrooms for the kids, as we wanted the kids to go to bed before the adults. We hole to come back and stay at the farm!

Absolutely Amazing!!!
We LOVED our stay here! The house was absolutely gorgeous, perfectly luxurious while being super cozy and comfortable, and included everything we needed for our 2 families with kids. Peri was so sweet and welcoming, and our kids had such a wonderful time feeding and caring for the animals on the farm alongside our most awesome host. We wished we could’ve stayed longer. By the end of our stay, our 4-year-old stated, “This farmhouse is waaay better than LEGOLAND!”

Memorable Memorial Day Weekend
What a wonderful farm this is. The beautiful house is comfortable and spacious. We were happy to see that each bedroom upstairs was large enough to fit a pack n play and one had room for a twin mattress as well. The kitchen is well-equipped and stocked and there are plenty of eating areas inside and out. Peri is a wonderful host and kept in touch daily to let us know when the animals would be fed. She knows her animals well and our grandchildren loved feeding and grooming them. They also enjoyed the swing in the big front yard tree and getting rides in the wagon. We highly recommend Zen Farms for a SLO coast getaway.

Perfect for our family
Our family ranging in age from 7 to 81 stayed at this property. The house accomodated all of us and gave us places to be together or apart as desired. The pool table in the game room was a favorite as was the two eating spaces for us to gather to eat and play games. There was lots of outside space to sit and eat, read or just enjoy the view of her 5 acre property. The beach was about five minutes away. Peri was very accomodating and communicative. She provided my young grandsons with the opportunity to pet and feed her animals and supplied us with fresh eggs from her chickens for an affordable price. All and all it was a perfect place for our family get together and I would definitely recommend the property.

Best Farm Stay Ever!!!
Our family, 4 adults, three teenage boys, and two dogs had three incredible days at Peri's farm. She is a hostess extraordinaire and her animals are sweet and adorable. We spent a good amount of "happy time" with Peri and the animals every day of our stay. The house is luxurious while being very comfortable, which made all of us truly feel at home here. The kitchen is completely equipped with all the cooking tools you need.. Bonus... you don't need to bring your own sharp knives! Groceries are close by for anything you have forgotten. Between the animals and the pool table our boys rated this farm stay their best vacation house ever! We all agree and we will definitely return. Thank you so much Peri and Jeff.

Home away from Home
I cannot say enough about Peri and the beautiful home in this listing. The house is stocked with every convenience you could possibly want. Peri was a gracious host, and responded quickly to our requests. The farm is just charming, and although we had rain every day we stayed, Peri gave us a tour of the home when we arrived (the only sunny day), and treated us to some fresh eggs on one morning of our stay. My only problem was the inability to adjust the temperature of the home during our stay, (but to be fair, we did not ask that the temperature be changed) considering it was colder than expected. I would definitely recommend this VRBO rental to others, and would stay again with my family.

Great property host! Great rural vibe although close to everything. Accommodations were as advertised. 10 minute drive to the beach. Great for a large family stay especially with children. The animals were a nice bonus. The host even gave us fresh eggs from her chickens.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Zen Farms. The house was huge and well-appointed, with lots of space for 7 adults and 2 kids. It was so fun to be able to help feed the farm animals, my kids absolutely loved that. Peri was a wonderful host. She was so great with my inquisitive kids. We were encouraged to pick fruit from the fruit trees and were given farm fresh eggs. It was just a wonderful stay all around.

Zen Farms is a beautiful, well appointed property with the little touches of luxury resorts. We hosted lunch & dinner for our family gathering and could not have wished for a better setting. My family absolutely loved staying at Zen farms! The highlight was seeing my children, ages 6 and 8, helping out with morning feedings of the animals. Perfect Family Farm Vacation!
I don't have enough good things to say about this property or Peri!!! I stayed here with my three young kids and husband and I think we all would have moved in and stayed forever if we could have! Beautiful, clean, spacious house with tons of rooms for a much bigger family than ours and well equip with everything in the kitchen and tons of games and fun for us to eat many of our meals and spend family time together. Close to the beach and lots of fun activities in Pismo, Avila and SLO where we spent lots of time! But honestly, the best part was the property and the farm and the feel that you became part of the family with the animals and Peri as soon as you got there. My kids picked lemons off the trees, played on the swing in the front yard, and loved every moment of feeding and caring for the sweetest farm animals you ever met. My kids love animals and Peri spent time with us every day and let them help to feed, brush, clean, pet, collect eggs and more. When we asked them after the trip what their favorite part of the vacation was, they all said that the best part was just spending time with the animals on the property and that they were going to miss them and didn't want to leave! And we agreed! We will be back some day!

Fantastic stay and better than we thought
Overall our stay here was more than we expected. The host Perri was so sweet and made the check in process super simple. The house was located close to town but also secluded and peaceful. We did plenty of cooking on the girl and took adavatage of a fully stocked kitchen. Our favorite part would have to be the animal feeding and the delicious cinnamon roles that Perri gave us. Each day we joined for the feeding and enjoyed time with the animal. Even being able to take home some chicken and duck eggs. Thank you Perri and Jeff for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Peri and Jeff were the greatest hosts and the property was gorgeous! If you want a big beautiful house and has plenty of room for everyone then this your place. My grandson loved the animals. Remember this is a farm property so expect your cars to get a little dusty. I loved it and expect to hopefully schedule another stay with them.

This was one of the best trips we have been on! The grounds are beautiful, there is attention to detail and clearly the property is cared for, not just a generic vacation rental. There were 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 6 yrs old to 7 mo. The highlight was definitely the farm activities with Peri. She was an absolute delight and amazing with the kids. So patient, kind, loving, and fun. She went along with what they wanted to do and really made the trip memorable. Communication was very easy and she was not intrusive at all. Perfect family getaway
If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy just being together as a family this is a wonderful place. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, pool table, outside lounging chairs, and the kiddos enjoyed the outdoor playhouse and tree swing. The times collecting eggs, feeding, brushing, petting, walking animals was a highlight and something the kids will never forget and are already asking when we can return! Peri was so patient with all the questions the kids had and they came away saying they had made a new friend! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful place to visit.

A post-Christmas 4 family get-together in an absolutely wonderful location! Peri couldn't have been more accommodating and was wonderful with the children. She could not have been nicer and more patient, teaching the little ones how to feed and care for the animals; your very own petting zoo with the added lesson of animals requiring work but giving joy. Despite days of rain, there was plenty to occupy all ages (particularly loved the pool table and popcorn machine!) and the house was spacious, luxurious and the Christmas decorations were exceptionally beautiful. Have already booked a return trip!

We stayed with extended family over Christmas. The house was beautifully decorated for the holiday, had a cozy fireplace in the living room and was comfortable for us all. The children loved feeding and petting the animals in the mornings. The farm was definitely a plus and the host was very patient and gracious with allowing the kids to interact with the animals. The grounds are beautiful and there is a game room with a pool table that we all enjoyed. The location is also convenient and not to far from Pismo or SLO. Highly recommend.

More than a vacation rental, a total vacation experience!!!
The Zen farm was an unbelievable experience for a family get-together. The house was beautifully decorated (including two Xmas trees and holiday decorations). It was comfortably spacious and complete with everything you could need. But the real magic was outside with the mini horses, goats, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. The kids helped feed the animals in the morning/evening. The views were spectacular. Peri and Jeff were fabulous and welcoming hosts. This will definitely be an annual get together for our family!! Cannot wait to go back!

Great stay for multiple families at ZenFarms
We had a really great time at the property! We stayed with 3 families with kids, total 13 of us. The house is really large, so could accommodate us without problems. It’s also all in really good condition, with a well equipped kitchen, charming living room and a large game room for the kids. The various animals outside give it the petting zoo experience which the kids loved. Communication with the host Peri was easy, quick message or phone call away and always around. Thanks so much for the great stay!

Better than expected, and we had high expectations!
So many nice things to say: Peri is the consummate host -- she is positive and fun and loves what she does. She invited us to do the morning feedings of the goats/pigs/horses/chickens/ducks and it was a blast. She even showed us the dozen or so chicks that are currently isolating in the garage. We learned quite a bit and Peri taught with a smile. The house is spacious with an excellent combo of inside and outside spots to enjoy. Easy to prepare breakfast in the kitchen then head outside to one of the areas with dining tables to enjoy the area while eating. Bedrooms were very comfortable and the kids really loved the pool table. 30 easy min to SLO, 10 mins to Oceano, and 10-15 minutes to many stores...so you are in the country but still very close to places of interest. We will be back.

Only down side was kids who were not in bedrooms were on mattresses on floor, but luckily they were all under 24 and could handle the inconvenience. Getting back to nature
This was one of the best house we stayed at in a long time. It has everything for everyone. Farm animals that the kids can play with and feed, an awesome pool table for the guys and a romantic view of sunset in the backyard. The best I part I would have to say was our host Peri, she made sure everything was ok and communicated with us when she was feeding the animals so the kids can help feed the animals too. Peri is very responsive with replying to texting.

So much fun!
We had a great time here! It was a group of 8 of us including three young kids. Oh and three small dogs. The girls loved feeding the animals and Peri was so patient with them. The house was very comfortable and clean. There are no pets allowed upstairs but that didn’t really matter because there were also comfortable sleeping accommodations downstairs. A couple of us slept downstairs with the dogs at night. There’s also a huge fenced in area for the dogs to explore. The neighborhood is lovely and rural and yet only about 10 minutes away from Pismo beach. Peri was also kind enough to provide us with some family/dog friendly activities for us to do in the area.

Amazing Vacation
Every year our three families (three couples and three children) get together and rent a house in central California. This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had. Our host Peri, was extremely nice and helpful. Every day our kids would help her feed the chickens, pigs, horses, goat and ducks. They all said this was their favorite vacation EVER! We were very sad when we had to leave. Thanks for everything Peri!

Lots of room, pleasant hist
We had a relaxing time at this property. We are animal lovers and enjoyed staying close to the farm of the owners, but we had a higher expectation for the nightly rate. We had between 2-5 people staying at the home, depending on the night. The home was clean and large enough to accommodate us. The interior has had attention to detail, even if not that recent. The bedding and towels were comfortable and made for an enjoyable experience. The kitchen, however, was far less than expected. There aren't many pans/pots or trays to cook and very few bowls for food prep and next to no containers or bowels to store things in the refrigerator. The knives weren't sharp enough to slice through a lime or ear of corn without pulverizing it - which was frustrating. The ice and water options on the fridge don't work and the ice trays were nearly useless - they should be thrown away and replaced. The dishwasher didn't clean the utensils or dish ware - even after two wash cycles. With just a few of us, it was inconvenient to need to run the dishwasher several times or to wash things by hand and made things seem a bit less like a vacation. But Peri was lovely and personable. We always felt welcome and she was attentive, but we felt that there would be a greater attention to detail in a rental for $495 per night.

We have now completely stocked the kitchen with more bowls, more pots, pans and trays as well as plastic storage containers. We also now have knives that are sharp, and an abundance of ice in the fridge! I will have an appliance repairman come out this week and see what is up with the dishwasher. Perfect for family stay over the holidays
We spent four wonderful days at Peri and Jeff´s property in December and it was a perfect place for us to spend Christmas together. The house is very spacious and cosy for nine people. The kitchen was great and well equipped, and Peri let us pick tomatoes, herbs and lemon in the yard. The Christmas decorations made it so cosy. Peri and her husband are very nice and friendly, and we also loved all the animals. We highly recommend this house, which feels like a home!

A little slice of Heaven
Our 2nd visit and I can’t wait to go back. Beautiful home with everything you need. Great for families ands kids. Wonderful to experience the farm animals. A little slice of heaven on earth! And Peri is the best host ever! Feels like your seeing your family - ones that you like😀

Would definitely return!!
We always like to go to different places every year for our family reunions but our consensus is we’d very seriously consider breaking our tradition to return here. The property is beautiful and the hosts are wonderful! The boutique farm is so fun and our family loved going out to see the animals. Totally loved being here!!

Slice of Heaven
Recently, Our family had the good fortune to spend some time in Arroyo Grande at the home of Peri and Jeff. Welcoming, wonderful hosts; their home is beautiful and the property is about as “Zen” as it gets. We all loved feeding and loving the animals. Peri and Jeff are thoughtful people and it’s reflected in how they treat their land, animals and guests. We can’t wait to go back and experience that amazing Zen feeling!
