We loved our stay at Cool Stream! Great place to host with my group of friends. Only regret is the pool wasn’t open (apparently it’s only open from Memorial Day - Labor Day).

Cool Stream Lodge is a beautiful property!! Well suited for large families (there were 13 of us!). The pictures don’t do it justice! Even more impressive in person!! The pool screams resort!! Everyone loved it!! Convenient to town and provides total privacy!

Amazing Stay

We take an annual family vacation (three generations), usually to the beach but we decided to do something different this year. We are so glad we did. Cool Stream Lodge was perfect! Great house, great property, great location. We couldn’t be more pleased with our week away. Easy to book, great communication prior to and during our stay, and a property true to the listing. Perfection.

Beautiful Property made for Excellent Stay.

I stayed at this property with about 10 friends to celebrate a long weekend. The property is beautiful and looks just like it is advertised on the website. It was clean and everything was in working order. It is a bit of drive from downtown but we selected it for this so we had some privacy and to enjoy the nature. We all loved the stay and I would recommend this for any large group looking for an upscale rental experience.

This place is amazing. Unfortunately there was no propane in the back and therefore no grill and no pool or hot tub heat, which for a summer vacation…was a real bummer.

Wonderful house, but off the grid

The main house, guest house and pool are amazing. The houses are well appointed and easily accommodated our family of 14. However, be aware that Cool Stream Lodge is off the grid. The internet service is very poor (when there is any service at all). Don’t believe Carolina Mornings when they tell you the internet service has been upgraded. I was told, in writing, we would have hundreds of Mbps. The best we experienced over our five day stay was 20 Mbps. This was grossly insufficient to support our family members that needed connectivity to work. If you’re looking to disconnect, this place is great, but if you are reliant on internet service and you don’t want to spend your day in an Internet cafe in Asheville, you should look elsewhere.

Beautiful property… loved the huge fireplace… stream running past the side of the house,.

Everything was great. Only exception… when I had trouble lighting the grill, I called… and the person who answered replied “I’m not on call this weekend. Did you download the app?” NOT COOL. No I didn’t download “the app.” I called looking for someone who could tell me why the grill wasn’t working. That was the only hiccup.

Nice but there were some issues

The property was really nice and the house was nice. There are just a few things that could be better. 1) The beds in the smaller house we not Queen they were full beds. Too small for adult males to sleep in the same bed. 2) The loft was so tiny that we moved the mattresses to the floor of the game room because no one wanted to sleep up there. Might have been fine for a child. 3) There were some ants in the rooms. Not a lot just a few. 4) The grill needs to be cleaned 5) The piano was out of tune - we had a piano player/singer in the group 6) The door lock ran out of batteries and we were locked out of the house for an hour until the management company got back to us. 7) There trash which is stored in the garage was stinking up the house. If we knew when the trash day was we would have put the trash out.

All good but…

Property was great and the entire reason for the trip was for us to enjoy the pool with 5 children and 4 adults, but the pool was in disarray. The jets in the pool weren’t working when I checked in. I reported it and was told to watch a YouTube video on how to work the pool remote. I then followed up and was told the jets don’t work. On the second day, the pool service came (during dinner) and shut the pool, no explanation. When they closed the pool cover, it smelled horribly (a sign it hasn’t been cleaned in a while). Turns out the pool was clogged with pet hair (from previous renters), which was on one of the beds linens as well. The purpose of the trip was to enjoy the pool, but poor maintenance prevented that for half the trip. It’s too bad because the property was great and location is immaculate.

Great property with all of the space, amenities and privacy you can enjoy. All interactions with the manager and team were smooth and we had no issues during our stay. Incredible Property Near the Blue Ridge Property

we rented this property for a family weekend. The property was at the end of a secluded road about 25 mins from downtown Asheville. Both units were spotless, with comfy beds and plenty of room to spread out! I could have stayed longer if our schedules had allowed. Our kids loved the hot tubs, pool, hiking trails and friendly dog from down the road. This is a definite redo that needs to happen as it is one of our favorite properties ever booked!

Fabulous property poorly managed

Pavilion outdoor space had no electricity so TV inoperable, multiple burned out light bulbs, bring lots of batteries and light bulbs. Poor response from property manager
