"Abba Playa Gijon Hotel is in a great location a very short distance from the main Gijon beach, with fabulous views from the roof terrace of the beach sea, promenade and old town. Great restaurants and shopping very close by. And free parking in the street outside the Hotel. The swimming pool was a real treat and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We reserved for one night en transit, but would definitely return for a longer visit. Luis spoke excellent English and was really knowledgable about the area from its history to cider making (they have their own press) to surfing. When you leave, you feel as if you leave behind a home and a friend in Poo. I agree with all aspects of the other...

"The hotel is located right besides the basilica with superb views of the mountains and immediate access to the road leading to the Covadonga lakes. It has the character of a mountain lodge. The breakfast is simple and the restaurant while not gourmet is a very good option to finish a day of exploration."
