Great place for small family, close to different public transportation options

Great place for small family. Had excellent air conditioning. The best we experienced during our 3 week trek across several countries. Only cons I have about this property is in American terms, its four flights of stairs and access to washer was two flights down and access to roof to dry clothes on line was 3 flights up (one flight above the apartment.) We loved the air conditioning and close access to public transport. The beds were comfortable.

The good and the mostly bad

We stayed at this property for 30 days as a family of four with two young children. The Good: The place was clean and felt safe, and the neighborhood was great for families. The Bad: Upon our arrival, we were informed of a small-scale renovation, which left the apartment smelling like a construction site throughout our stay, with persistent paint fumes. Renovation activities were also ongoing on the floor below us. Unfortunately, this information was only disclosed to us on the day of arrival, leaving us no time to seek alternative accommodations. While the apartment initially appeared safe, upon closer inspection, we found exposed wiring in wall light switches, sharp-cut pipes in the washroom, a missing toilet paper holder, only the bracket remaining, holes in the washroom wall, and an unattached drain cover, which covered an old sharp drain cover. The host's responsiveness to our concerns was minimal. For instance, although the listing promised a fully furnished apartment and kitchen, the kitchen lacked basic cooking utensils such as a knife, and we were instructed to purchase these for our own safety. The provided cooking ware and utensils were minimal, old, broken, and incomplete, making cooking nearly impossible. Parking was consistently problematic, with frequent blockages, though this may be more indicative of broader issues in Athens rather than specific to the host. After bringing several of these issues to the attention of Kelly, the host, promises were made to

Athens apartment

Host was super nice…quick and consistent communication. Only a few downsides…no dryer (hang clothes to dry), apartment is on 3rd floor, not 2nd (only stairs), 1 double bed and 2 singles (3/5 shared the double bed), and closest metro was a brisk 15-minute walk.

Appartement spacieux

L appartement est spacieux mais peu meublé. Il manque quelques ustensiles de cuisine. Il est situé à 15 minutes à pied de la station de métro d'où l'on peux facilement rayonner sur toute la ville. Supérette et boulangerie à proximité. Situation calme, pas reqsenti d'insécurité à proximité. Nous garderons un bon souvenir de ce séjour.

Great space in a crowded city

Communication with hosts was excellent and prompt. They were hospitable even to my dumb questions (because I did not take the time to read the handbook which would have answered all my questions). We had a rental car but just left it at the apartment for our time in athens. The metro was a quick and safe 8-10 minute walk. The main acropolis site was about 10 minute ride on the metro, without switching trains. It felt so quick we didn't even sit down. We walked home in the dark every night and it felt very safe. There were kids playing on the streets and playgrounds in the dark as well. There are multiple restaurants and coffee shops in the area. We hit up the little mini-mart shop on the corner of the block a couple times for sodas and ice cream, and some breakfast foods. They closed at 10pm so that was nice. We usually ate dinner near the historical sites before taking the metro back to the apt at night so I can't comment on good restaurants nearby. The apt had more hot water than we had in two of our other Greek VRBO reservations so that was nice. All 5 of us got hot showers. The master bed was also the most comfortable of all our stays in Greece. Though the living room area is already quite large it felt even more open with the large balcony windows which have metal doors that can close over them at night. The apartment is a few flights of stairs up so it would not be recommended for elderly folks or those with mobile physical disabilities. There is available laundry/washer, though we didn't partake because of the drying time for clothes in Greece in October. The wifi was a bit slow, so this would not be an ideal location if you had to get some work done fast or be on an important zoom call or something. Hints: If driving, leave for the airport 3-4 times ahead of what GPS tells you it will take. Crazy traffic. Also we pulled our rental van out of the parking space late at night and onto the street so as to not risk getting blocked in when we needed to get to the airport, Taking the metro to the airport would have been seriously faster than driving. (but the 5 of us with all our luggage would have taken an entire train car). We really enjoyed our stay. Thank You!

Perfekt um als Familie Arhen zu entdecken

Die Wohnung ist für eine Reise mit kleinem Kind sehr gut ausgestattet! Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich von Kelly begrüßt und es standen sogar Windeln und ein Buggy parat! Dank der Heizung war es immer schnell warm in der Wohnung (nur der Fliesenboden blieb etwas kalt- aber mit einer Decke auf dem Boden war das Spielen auch ok) Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Monat in der wirklich gut gelegenen Wohnung! Zu Fuß kann man gut alles erreichen: Metro ca 10 Min Lidl ca 5 Min 2 weitere Supermärkte ebenfalls. Bäcker, Minimarkt und Apotheke direkt auf der Straße! Kelly war immer sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich! Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit.

Super!

Wir waren mit zwei kleinen Kindern da. In der Wohnung ist alles da was man für einen Kurzurlaub benötigt. Mit viel Spielzeug haben sich auch unsere Kinder direkt wohl gefühlt! Bäcker und Apotheke sind direkt in der Straße, ansonsten haben wir die Stadt mit der Metro erkundet.

we enjoyed our short stay in Sepolia appartment. A clean, spacious and welcoming place!

Kelly was a great host and she advised us on everything when we arrived: Transport, restaurants, shops in the neighbourhood. The place is well situated and agreeable to settle in.

Very nice apartment. Wonderful hosr.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kelly's Apartment. It was bright and lovely and in a quiet neighborhood. Kelly was very thoughtful and even had a snack waiting for us and drinks in the fridge. The bakery, close by, was a perfect spot to start our day.

Sehr schönes, großes Apartment mit WLAN, moderner Ausstattung, Klimaanlage, Bücher. Ruhige Lage, zwei Balkone, Parkplatz, für eine Familie oder 4 Personen ideal Urlaub zu verbringen. Zum Metro Sampolia sind ca. 20 Min zu Fuß, die Fahrscheine für 1,60 € kann man in den Kiosks kaufen (über 65-jährigen zahlen nur 50 %, auch in den Museen). Mit dem Auto in die Stadt zu fahren ist ein Abenteuer, fast keine Möglichkeit zu parken.

Perfect appartment, very convenient location, nice people !

The appartment is perfectly equiped: everything is new and very clean. Kelly is very friedly and always ready to help. It was a great pleasure for our children to meet and play with her ones ! If we return somewhen to Athen, we will book here again !
