My hotel room was absolutely disgusting. The property was in disarray and there was trash everywhere. The floors were sticky, there was trash and food in the air vent, the fridge was dirty and full of rust, the room smelled horrible, and it looked like someone used the bathroom in the tub. The staff at the front desk was unprofessional (except for the daytime lady I spoke to on the phone) and provided me with ZERO paperwork or receipts. The door handle to get into the hotel was even broken and hanging on by 1 bolt. There was people loitering in the parking lot, and a pungent smell of smoke, both cigarettes and green. I checked in on 10/12 hoping the room would be ok… and checked out on 10/12, 15 minutes later…long enough to book a different hotel. Woodspring suites has not responded to Expedias attempts to reach them (by phone AND email) even though the staff said that I needed to contact Expedia for a refund. As far as I’m concerned, the hotel stole $673.81 for a disgusting room I didn’t stay in. I will be sure to write a review for the hotel on every single platform I can find.

The staff was polite and accommodating. Wi-fi was slow. It was OK when we first arrived, but later slowed to a crawl, as if multiple users had overwhelmed the bandwidth in spite of the fact that the motel was not nearly occupied to capacity. As to the condition of the room, do not let the photos on the website fool you; they were obviously taken when the motel was new. Our room, to the contrary, was dingy and worn: loose base boards, rusty appliances, worn mattress, and a bathroom door that would not latch. Though the room appeared to be relatively clean, the floor apparently was not: walking across the room for just a few minutes turned the bottoms of our socks black. The room had a strong odor: I thought at first it smelled like cannabis, but it may have been pet odor. The smell permeated the entire motel, both inside and out, to varying degrees depending on where you go.
