Large house in the countryside, but only 5 km from the city center of Avignon!

A large family or a group of friends; find yourself in our large house located in the countryside ... but in the city of Avignon.

Ideally located 5 km from the Place de l'Horloge, that is to say from the heart of Avignon and its Palais des Papes, our cottage classified as Meublé de Tourisme is located in a quiet countryside on the island de la Barthelasse (near the equestrian center), in the middle of the Rhône (largest river island in Europe, 700ha; did you know?).

We therefore propose to rent you our dwelling house composed of five fully renovated bedrooms with two terraces, three bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, internet that goes without saying.
This is our main residence, and we stay next door with our neighbors during rentals!

Outside, you can enjoy a large 9000m² wooded land at your leisure.

In fine weather, a large private 60m² swimming pool awaits you (12m x 5m; gentle slope on 1/3, then depth 1.30m).
It is completely secured by an automatic electric roller shutter (to NF standards).
The swimming pool with its "beach" formula is perfectly suited for young children and babies. It has been very successful (see last issue of the magazine "Ambiance Piscines" page 71, and go dreaming about:

FORGE ADOUR gas plancha available, also charcoal barbecue for those who prefer, Nespresso coffee machine, etc ...

Possibility of renting only a few rooms if there are few of you; prices on request.

Also know that our cat Piano, very sociable and cuddly, will keep you company during your stay.
No other animals tolerated on site, even passing through, sorry.

Please note that you will be asked for a minimum deposit of 2000 €.
PLEASE NOTE: this will not be returned if the number of holidaymakers provided for in the contract is exceeded, day or night, without request and prior written consent upon arrival! For the good preservation of our house, we are uncompromising on this; thank you for your understanding.

For your comfort and safety, the accesses and exterior surroundings of the house are under video surveillance. Visible cameras monitor the entire parking area as well as the main entrance door.

Ask us for a precise price. All our prices are negotiable and decreasing according to the duration, the number of people and the planned activities.

Beautiful house in a stunning location

Couldn't have asked for more from our stay in Avignon! Gorgeous pool, lovely decor, air con and the bikes provided were a highlight - Avignon is an easy fifteen minute rise away through quiet country lanes. Highly recommend!

Villa conforme à l annonce, les hôtes sont charmants et à l écoute. Une maison et un environnement magnifiques!

Merveilleux week-end en famille sur l’Ile de la Barthelasse Cadre privilégié avec un accueil très sympathique des propriétaires. Piano le chat nous a tenu compagnie et ses ronrons et câlins ont enchanté les enfants. Une piscine de rêve dans un parc immense, tout est fait pour que l’on s’y sente bien.

Nous avons eu un excellent accueil des propriétaires qui nous ont mis à l’aise tout de suite et nous ont donné des conseils restos/boulangerie/etc.... La maison était extrêmement propre et très bien équipée ! Le linge de maison d’excellente qualité ! Elle est parfaite pour plusieurs familles avec des enfants. La piscine est très agréable, sécurisée et parfaite pour les enfants en bas âge. Le chat des propriétaires « piano » est adorable et ne pose aucun problème durant le séjour. La maison est idéalement située pour visiter Avignon et ses environs. Tout a été parfait ! Je recommande sans hésitation et j’y retournerai avec grand plaisir si l’occasion se présente 👍

Formidable maison de vacances!

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine entre amis. La maison est idéalement située, au calme tout en étant à 5 min en voiture du centre d’Avignon! La maison est très bien équipée et offre tout le confort! Nous avons passé la plupart de notre temps autour de la très belle piscine avec sa pente douce appréciée de tous! Die Lage ist traumhaft. Der Garten bietet unglaublich viel. Jeder findet eine Nische. Aber man kann sich auch bestens mit diversen Bewegungsspielen unterhalten (Volleyball, Badminton, Speedminton, etc.). Wir haben sehr viel Zeit im Pool verbracht. Die Küche ist zweckmässig undqualitativ gut ausgestattet. Einzig in Bezug auf die Stückzahl beim Geschirr und den Gläsern hätten wir uns manchmal ein paar mehr gewünscht. Toll ist die Terrasse mit dem grossen Tisch. Für 10 Personen hat es genug Platz. Wir haben dort nicht nur gegessen sondern auch viel Zeit mit Spielen verbracht. Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet und die Betten sind gut.

A great place to stay

We were a party of seven, with a mixture of adults and children. Franck and Ghis took time before we arrived to understand our needs and make sure the house was set up for us. The house itself is set in beautiful grounds and decorated to a very high standard, with everything we needed. We had a very relaxing time. The island itself is quite quiet, but there is a restaurant within a short walk of the house and Avignon is a short drive away. Supermarkets are a little further, but not too far, and there is a farm shop selling fresh fruit and vegetables close by.

Aangename ruime vakantiewoning op enkele minuutjes van Avignon

Aangenaam ruime vakantiewoning voorzien van alle comfort voor een zorgeloze vakantie. Goed verzorgd zwembad met luxueuze ligstoelen en parasols in een grote tuin met fruitbomen. Uitgeruste grote keuken. Perfect verblijf voor twee gezinnen met kinderen vanaf 8 jaar of vijf koppels. Op een rustige, landelijke locatie op slechts enkele minuutjes van het centrum van Avignon. Ideaal als uitvalsbasis of om ter plekke te blijven.

Une cousinade réussie !

Les 9 cousins/cousines que nous étions cherchions une propriété au calme pour ne pas déranger les voisins lors de nos soirées de rigolades : c’était parfait ! La maison spacieuse avec ces 5 belles chambres, la cuisine très bien équipée, la piscine au milieu d’un parc charmant, le baby-foot, le flipper, l’espace pour jouer à la pétanque, la sono, le barbecue et j’en oublie sûrement, nous ont permis de passer 4 jours formidables. Merci aussi à Ghis et Franck pour leur accueil chaleureux à notre arrivée.

L’expression se mettre au vert prend tout son sens

Que de dire de plus après tous ces excellents commentaires. Nous nous sommes réunis entre copains avec nos enfants. La maison est hyper bien équipée, que ce soit pour cuisiner, dormir, se détendre, jouer, se promener à vélos. La piscine est un havre de paix et de tranquillité pour les enfants en bas âge avec la plage anti-derapante. Les escaliers ne sont vraiment pas un problème pour les enfants puisque protégés des deux côtés. Le propriétaire est tres réactif en cas de besoin. Bref nous avons passé un merveilleux week end au calme mais à 5 minutes du centre d’Avignon et de toutes les commodites. Je recommande vivement.

Absolutely wonderfull, the real "Provence" as we like it, and such a comfortable house .....and pool

For our first visit in France, touring for 6 months with our family, this has been so far one of the best places where we have been staying. Everything is perfectly as described on the website, and the pool is indeed fantastic, especially with young children. We totally recommend this house, and don't hesitate to contact Franck the owner : he speaks fluent english, and knows how to satisfy your needs (he works in the tourism industry and used to run a lodge in Africa ...) We loved this place, and would have extended our stay if we didn't have a scheduled program. Thanks again Franck, and Ghis.
